To date I have trouble calling myself a musician. I mean; right now I have Head Hunters on; now those are musicians. A noodler perhaps, yes

Well, I started playing guitar to attract hot women. Alas, it turned out I was more interested in the guitar than the girls! :-o

Now it's one of my primary forms of self-expression, along with writing. :D

I've tried to quit a few times, but I always come back.. I think it's just a part of who I am now, for better or worse (usually worse lol). :P :hihi:

(Keep in mind; I grew up in family that dubbed music as a 'sin' and something to stay away from. Hence I was sheltered from the musical world)

The need to play music was there from the beginning. It's something I always felt very strongly about. However, I never had the freedom to express it. I remember the first time I realised I had the ability - I was around 8, and myself and my parents were shopping at a Best Buy. I had wandered off and found myself in the row with all the pretty keyboards/synths. I started playing...And something just felt very very very right. The melodies sounded good. The music just kind of flowed. However, that happy moment was cut short when my father yanked me away, and informed that Music is the tool of the devil.

I still snuck in a little music here...A little tapping on a wall there. But it wasn’t until I was 14(After my mother and father had parted ways) that I was allowed to venture back into the world of music. I took on an Orchestra class in High School. And from that day foreword, music was a part of my life. At 15, I started messing around with the early version of Fruity loops, (Which at the time, was quite weak.) My tracks were awfull...Uninspiring Now here, six years later, I’m composing music for computer games.

I’m not sure where I would be right now, if it weren’t for music. At times I feel like it’s the only thing I can actually depend on to be there when I need it.

That, and Captain Morgan’s.

Because I love music and won't to give something in return and because I need to earn money to support vegetarianism/veganism, and just generally put more focus on the area. I aim at getting killing animals illegalized, nothing less is satisfactory.

I am a "musician" because I hate everyone and wish to make the most obnoxious noise possible with just enough beats to piss off the noise facists and just enough screaming to keep my cat in check.

i say good day to you all...

Because music is profound. Very profound. Everytime you think you might get to understand it one day, you are proven wrong. That has always amazed me. :)

Well, I always ENJOYED music.. played the piano for a number of years. But I never really thought about composing or any of the tech stuff until about 3 years ago when I heard some really great music at the ocremix.org site. I was fascinated and wanted to try it myself, so I started getting into music production and remixing. From that point on I just got more and more interested and decided it was what I really wanted to do.

I'm pretty happy now. :)

In a Guitar Player interview from about 20 years ago, Robert Fripp said that music chooses the most unlikely people to be its voice, and in my case I couldn't agree more
