an easy trick to get tape warble is to use a chorus with the effect mix set to maximum. i use the free kjaerhus chorus for this.

first of all - thank you for this.stk wrote:If any of you are still watching this thread, and interested, feel free to try out DubbBox v2 Release Candidate 1.
I think it's pretty close to ready, but any comments welcome.
It's based on the original v1, as I lost the source files.
Some comments - it's still mono (I like it that way, and it saves on cpu.. however if I hear enough bitching I may well make a St version).
There's still no lfo modulation (I can do all that, with less of a cpu hit, in my host).
cheers,
sk
i haven't had time to test this extensively, but it seems nice. i've gotten so used to dubbox v1 that i am not sure it'll be able to push it off its throne, but i will give it some more time. i miss the old 'motor' and 'tape' knobs, but not overly.
no crashes or anything of the like, which is always a plus.

One question: Are you the one (only one?) behind Terminal Sound System? If yes, respect for your music! I like it alot!

I have no idea how all of you can not know about Interruptor's WOW AND FLUTTER!

And I have no idea how knowledge about Dubbox implies non-knowledge about interruptor's toys?rpc9943 wrote:I have no idea how all of you can not know about Interruptor's WOW AND FLUTTER!

To be honest, I really like interruptor's toys a lot. The AnalogicDelay & BionicDelay are one of my favourite delays at all.rpc9943 wrote:why no recommendation

Don't use 'em - although I do use ArcDev's plugins.rpc9943 wrote:why no recommendation
Obviously you do use them - so you recommend them to people.
Sounds fair?

Is that any way to get folks to try Wow & Flutter?
Let's pretend that we are talking about ice cream flavors instead of VST effects.
What would be the best way to introduce friends or strangers to your favorite ice cream flavor/manufacturer to others discussing their favorite flavors. We'll suppose that your favorite is Cherry Garcia, from Ben & Jerry's.
What would be the best way to introduce that flavor?:
A. Ron says "My favorite is Cherry Garcia, you should try it because they use only the finest cherries fresh from Traverse City Michigan, and a portion of the proceeds of the sale goes to prevent deforestation in the Amazon!"
or
B. Ron says "I can't believe you don't know about Ben & Jerry's Cherry Garcia!"
Maybe every single person in the group does know about Cherry Garcia, but they don't have it as their favorite. Maybe after hearing you berate them for their ignorance of Cherry Garcia, whether real or imagined by you, they decide that they will never try Cherry Garcia in the future.

By the way, I would be glad to heap some glory on Wow and Flutter as well..It's got an added bonus of having the tone generators on-board which make a good drone source.rpc9943 wrote:I have no idea how all of you can not know about Interruptor's WOW AND FLUTTER!

Hokay, thanks for all the replies
After further listening I'm not 100% satisfied with the vintage modifier (although I'm quite happy with the tapehiss)..
Yeah I was wondering about that myself... I went for simplifying that into a single "Vintage" control as a bit of an experiment.i miss the old 'motor' and 'tape' knobs, but not overly.

Yep, that'd be me..Vibro Larynx wrote:One question: Are you the one (only one?) behind Terminal Sound System? If yes, respect for your music! I like it alot!
