well, there is/was a free one, too. and as far as i'm concerned the pay version sucks.

oh, and before i forget - CLAS (i checked the site, apparently you can still email them for the free version!) sounds better than bbe to me and is about -10 to 15 times- lighter on cpu than spectralive...
