8-Track V.01

It hit me that I could build the 2-track in.
My arm is about to fall off so I might wait a little while. Here is a beta version to play with while I get it right. :D

New 8-trk features

o Auto-Rewind
o Auto Source-Monitor on record
o Track Start Position
o Track End Position
0 Track Pitch w/Zero Indicator

Just tried the 4-Track & looped with it for half an hour. Lots of fun! Thanks Tomg :)

The simplest version requires his packs but I also have a slightly more complex version that uses free modules (you can thank Jack Dark for forcing me into working out how to do this with free modules!).

It also has a safety feature that stops any problems with files trying to be read before they are written: The play button disappears when you press record and vice versa.
Sorry... I've been busy. :D uhh I can't recieve attachments. Any chance I could DL it from somewhere?

Thanks Sean, Here's 8-Track :) I'm building a 2-track into the master section right now. Once I add automation and patching you'll be able to recall songs and settings. I hope to be able to record and mixdown a track without ever leaving 8-Track when we are done.. 8)

I was kidding about adding a button. I was thinking of making a dedicated plug just for unDBXing so I could add all the bells and stuff. We'll see how it goes something always turns up.

I really appreciate your great work on these. I just downloaded the plugins, and noticed that there are WAV files included. I also am not sure what some of the buttons do. Is there any possibility that even a very simple documentation could be included? It wouldn't need to be much, just a text file with installation and simple usage instructions and an explaination of what the buttons do. It would be really appreciated. Thanks!

Page 2 has a bit ... but it's all changing by the second.

I can see you've been busy! I haven't renewed the subscription on my site (something I really need to sort out!) but I might be able to use someone else's webspace. Failing that I could upload it to one of those fileshare places, leave it with me. When I sort it out how would you like me to let you know? Shall I just drop you a PM?

Thanks, I'll check. When things start to settle down with the program, will you put some docs in?

Also, how difficult would it be to make the 8 track load effects? ...you know, like reverb, delay, chorus, etc.?

This is looking really cool. I bought Tunafish the other day to play with, and I'm going to experiment to see if this give it the total solution as far as audio goes. I suspect it will. :-) As you may (or possibly may not) know, Tunafish doesn't have any audio recording capability. This will allow it to have that capability.

Thanks again,

the 4track looks like my old Tascam 244 ... but that also has 2 band parametric EQ and aux sends on each track ... just a thought ...

Use www.yousendit.com It's really easy and works great! (oh, and it's free too.)
