No one has mentioned Cakewalk Project5? It's $199 now and has quite a few features that are similar (or rip-offs some might say) to Ableton Live. The engine is pretty solid too.

Haven't read the thread yet...sorry if it's been mentioned....but Brainspawns Forte is meant specificaly for live play. It's even got little "scenes" (I think that's what they're called) that hold set lists.
