I wonder? I think they have demos, so perhaps its worth looking into. Not sure about BWF.

I haven't mentioned Pro Tools because I get the impression that, compared to the hosts discussed so far, PT is a bit of a dinosaur. My brother has started using it again at the studio he works at, after 5 years with Nuendo, Reason, Sonar, etc and he says it's just painfully restrictive. I'm not bashing, that's just kind of the consensus I'm under: no PDC, limited number of tracks, limited bussing. But I'm sure it must have some awesome stuff in it for it to be so popular...

alot of things are popular that dont have anything awesome about them. Popularity doesnt mean all that much

Yeah, yeah. I know Cubase is popular, I get it.

That didn't work. I may install it on an office computer, won't be as much fun listening wise but I'll still get an idea how it works.

Wow. I meant two DISKS of samples... not 2 samples. Haha. Anyway... Cubase... I've never used it. Been too satisfied with my setup:

Magix Music Maker 10 n 11, Sonar 6 Producer, Kinetic, Sony Soundforge... all of them I'd recommend.

Oh and learn a real instrument. That's important.

Midi.. good, but not up to Cubase/Sonar/Logic etc
VST support.. see above

Stability.. absolutely solid
Support.. the developer will answer any question, usually within minutes, and if you find a repeatable bug he fixes it immediately

Tracking and mixing are the strength of Saw. Didn't know you needed an external plugin for BWF files.. there are a lot of 'different ways' of doing things you have to learn how to do in Saw.

Best host for mixing
