I'm using good Fruity since 4.0 for everything which includes lots of audiorecording of guitars and vocals and I like it that way. It's true that you eventually have to start the playback from the beginning to hear a audioclip playing (though I think this has improved a lots), so don't know how I workearounded this but I did and it works
PS Did I mention I also have Audition? But only use this most of the time as an accompaniment to FL - in other words it's my audio-editor. The recording in FL is imho quite simple - and sometimes I'm impressed when Hink describes his workflow betweeen FL and Audition, myself I'm too lazy for that
. Seriously, it all depends on the workflow, for me only FL is enough..

Absolutely! Free lifetime upgrades is one of the best deals there is for a host this good, for surethomekk wrote:I guess we can be happy that adobe did not bought imageline - though more flawless flow, it would mean bye bye "free lifetime updates"

Yeah, that's why I default to a different host for clients that need something pseudo-classical with mapped tempo *and* multiple sigs. (I've even had some past whiny posts about not being able to decide which host to stick with!)matthewjumps wrote:yea i thought it was the timesig issue. that and no 'notation-roll'is a real turn-off for anyone with 'classical' musical training.
But no matter how much I stray, I end up gravitating to the land of Gol!

Well... maybe. But I still play (and make) didjeridus and have had formal piano training.matthewjumps wrote:have u used the beta with edison? edison is great...

wait when you say 'start in the middle' you mean start playback? that should be a matter of positioning the playhead in the playlist to the middle point and clicking play yea?xander wrote:Trying to do it now -- just have to figure out how. i kid myself that i can pick my way around a guitar a bit, but i suck really
i mainly use audition for audio recording, but then edit the takes and resequence in fl. not sure why i don't record in fl directly - probably just an old superstition...
