Works. Great.

Hm. I'm limited to 3 torrents a week unless I register. Registration is closed unless I have an invitation code. Is there anyeone that's registered and can send me one?

Victor.
Same here. Torrents running. 3 torrents a week - blargh. Well, I'm thankful for the three.
We shall see orchestral machines with a thousand new sounds, with thousands of new euphonies, as opposed to the present day's simple sounds of strings, brass, and woodwinds. -- George Antheil, circa 1925 ---

is it today? 14th? wow!!!!

have good gig vurt.

hehe, the gig was last night, and it was pretty darn good actually 8)
9 acts varying from dream theatre type technical proggery to fugees style "toastin" and lots more besides.
on the whole the performers where all pretty tight once you actually got them on stage (few worrying moments during set up and soundchecks "i was supposed to bring my own guitar?" and other stupid shit) once on stage though, as i said pretty darn good, which made our job on sound much easier.
even with 9 acts and changeovers including a left handed drummer needing the kit switching and then back again for the following act we ended the night 15 mins before schedule :D

next thursday however i am performing :o
and i doubt the engineer will have as easy a job as i dont have a clue what im doing on stage
:ud:

nice, sounds like it was good gig, toastin's all good. good luck with your performing, whatever it is your doing... :D

They seem to have an on demand thing online, but I think it's only for UK. I'm not sure if the show is on it.

Just watched the first 3 - very good indeed. Thought it would be naff but just the right level of depth and I like his "democratic" take on music. Definately a keeper and one I would gladly buy on DVD.

He did a series on 20th Century greats as well - thought the Cole Porter one was spot on (he is one of my alltime favourite songwriters)

Whew indeed - we could have all been patronized and subjected to his superiority complex all over again! :scared:

Actually this is what I thought the thread was originally about. Interesting online book, 'How Music Really Works':
