Nice! Didn't know thatAtomsplitter wrote:@PTV - Actually ModuLR first released the slicer example which i think is based on pseudograins which had various mod versions released on the forum and was later used to create Loopdrive (I think anyway i have seen the source of that slicer and they look very similar but loopdrive is a alot more updated), the original post -

Here's the update for this week.. work on the beat detection algo has begun. It looked kinda hairy at first, but I think I've got a grasp on it... keep those fingers crossed. Also I've kept working on the file browser... so now it recalls favs when loading, and maintains tree structure when moving up folders. Global settings in the file browser are now saved to a nice little xml file for recall.
Right now I'll just continue working on the core (gobs of stuff to do), and not worry about the implementation of the cool stuff quite yet.

ok, it's been a month... reading various onset detection papers... I finally got an algo working. Don't mind the way it looks... just needed clear marks during the endless testing. Still needs some zero detection.. but it seems to detect in pretty noisey signals as well.
At least the core is there... lets things move forward.

Please put a button to randomize slices (reorder or shuffle or whatever you wanna call it). Surprisingly, Audiofinder is the only app on the mac with this feature as far as I know. It would be awesome if you could lock certain slices and then click on the randomize button to have only the unlocked slices rearranged. Dragging around slices to rearrange would be cool too as well as being able to replace slices with different samples. And I would hope that you could save the final result as a single new audio loop and not just as multiple individual slices.
