also, with the kp3 i can bypass using the rca by using the mic in and headphone out right?

If you only want the effects, and dont need sampling, or intend to use it as a midi control surface, then you do save a fair bit on the mini. But the pad is smaller, has no visual feedback, and you only get two recallable presets. Its far more portable though, and runs off batteries.sloworm wrote:i think i might pick it up, but which one would you suggest whyte rabbit, the mini or the kp3?
It really does depend what you want to do with it, TBH.
Yeah, you can, but bear in mind that it wont be line level signals from those.also, with the kp3 i can bypass using the rca by using the mic in and headphone out right?
An idiot on Set Theory:

no line level signals, it might be a weaker signal then? so a nice preamp could fix that? i always hate rca, it is not very accomadating to my setup...

so does the line level issue mainly weaken signal, or thin it out, or whatters?
Does the kp3 give good fellatio?

That is a sweet deal on overnight shipping.sloworm wrote:overnight shipping for 20 dollahs babybbee!!

Do you use Ableton Live at All? some of the most fun I have had with the KP3 is recording a motion and then clicking midi learn in Live, then clicking parameters of effects and instruments that I want the KP3 to control.
The recorded motion automatically sends the midi signal to the parameter and away you go! You have as many parameters as you want floating all over the place according to the motion you recorded on the KP3.

are you able to get different' motion sequences going on at the same time or just one? could you explain a little more?

You only get one motion sequence but in live you can have several different parameters mapped to the CC# of the same external hardware device. So you can map allot of cool modualation in a Live 6 set then set in motion the recorded pad motion or just improvise with you finger on the pad and Man! Is it cool.stale bread wrote:hey more on that Riley pleaseriley4reason wrote:That is a sweet deal on overnight shipping.sloworm wrote:overnight shipping for 20 dollahs babybbee!!

Some thing else allot people don't know about the KP3 is you have 8 different patterns you can set it in to send out all different kinds of CC and note on off numbers from the pad. You could assign, note length, pitch, scale, arppeggiator, delay, all kinds of MIDI effects and Audio Effects to the pad. When you are jamin and reach over and touch on the KP3...minds will blow.

You can also dig into a VST with a vector like WusikStation and ManyStation, Assign the pad to it then other parameters in the host, run the audio out into the KP3, back into the DAW (Live 6 for me) match the BPM of the mod effects and BAM!!! There's musical flavor cascading over your mind like the Lemurs in Madagasgar. You got to move it!
