It's interesting to note that on Gmedia's OB-8 page (http://www.gforcesoftware.com/archive_ob8.php) they mention that getting 2 OB-8's got them thinking about what their ultimate OB would consist of. They mention the architecture of the OB-8 with the filters & mod routing of the Xpander, rounding it off with making the filters as seamless as the SEM and adding some new waveforms. They end with commenting that the result could be one serious sonofabitch.loungedumore wrote:Well it's about time to get this going again isn't it !
SonicState's weekly podcast got the scoop on episode 28 I think (1/18/07)
That it was on the shelf because 32 filtered panned voices "gliding" crashed every machine they had ...so it was waiting for a fix or cpu speed ups .
That said , One of the guys from Gforce has a myspace page and in his "interests he mentions playing S.O.B. Also there diary page has been hinting at something "cool"
So maybe ?
However I think we should start a poll and let the fine blokes over a Gmedia know how many potential buyers they have that would probably get the ball rolling again .
So lets get the word out
I find it interesting that the term used is what is often abbreviated S.O.B.; could they be dropping a hint that the S.O.B. is still being worked on? One can only hope. If so, it looks like they may be giving us a better idea of what its capabilities may be. And maybe it won't be long before it's officially uveiled. Winter NAMM 2009, perhaps?
