Hey,

we are aware the cart browser phenomenon, but please don't hijack the Ethnotronics thread for order details postings, shadoe42, open an own thread for this issue.

The facts are that 90% of the computer users can see the payment options radio-selectorbox. The developer xt-commerce can't find anything else than browser settings as the reason why this isn't visible for some computer users, we already asked them several times.

Surely we care for each customer, so we're offering the solution with personal email. We're real humans here, talking with a many customers personally, Julia has a lot of fans too. We got several PMs and postings from shadoe42, but he don't want to send 1 mail. Well. BTW we have a lot of Ethnotronics orders processed by now and except one all of them went through the store cart troublefree and fast. A few hours later the file download links are submitted, even at the weekend. So far for bitr customer care.

I'll talk with Klaus about this issue though and I'm sure we'll set up a second alternative for those who have browser trouble with the xt-commerce cart. We know that a click to much might be boring, so we try to make everything smooth too as long it's under our control.

Cheers

I'm glad you have an alternative way of ordering as you mentioned because this doesn't work for me on Firefox or IE either.

I don't know how much you're paying xt-commerce for this service, but perhaps they can start earning their money by telling you what browser settings will cause a problem with their service. Then you can advise your customers specifically.

Honestly guys - if this is something specific to their service, by not supporting you with useful information you can pass on to your customers your business will probably be suffering regardless of your good intentions.

I do ALL my software purchasing online along with e-books, hardcopy books and god knows what else. I've never experienced this issue before. The only peculiarity I sometimes get is my Mastercard not being accepted for some reason.

I'm happy to order by email myself in the next month maybe when the big Ethnotronics comes out because I like my Ethnotronics fully loaded - and I know it will be. ;)

Thanks for the cool words, Caleb. Be sure that we don't like to see that even one single customer is distracted from purchasing our products. I already checked our share.it account to get our products included. I'll add the cart button to share.it to the order page.

Now we should get back to the thread title. harryson is working on audio mp3s, and this week we have the final product check for the Pro XL version.

Some people asked how the upgrades works. It's simple: just the price difference to the next higher version. So you can start with the Ethnotronics version, then upgrade to the Pro and later to the Pro XL if you have demand for more content.

We're also working on additional Presets. As we try to avoid more huge Preset archives we developed the TSL Preset Templates and it's recommended to use them for the regular instruments in 1 or 2 layer mode. More complex own Presets can be easily done by using existing Presets from TSW Pro or TSW by replacing the waveforms.

Sincerely

Julia

Guys,

The only problem with email ordering is the total lack of security. One would be horrifed to learn how easy it is to "steal" someone's credit card information if transmitted by unsecure, totally open email.

To get back to this thread, I must apologize to all. I was one of the people given the opportunity to create presets for these fine products (but not ethnotronics) and some massive projects got in my way. I have only recently even INSTALLED them in my wusik directories, now that I surfaced from said big projects.

I WILL work on preset design this week and get you all that I can.

Once again, my apologies to Julia, Klaus, et. al., for not being able to get to these sooner. Better late than never.

One last question. As an owner of vox'd, TSW and the entire TSW Pro series (that I purchased so many years ago - and these products were 100% the reason why I am now such a wusik fan), what would be our cost for the Ethnotronics XL product - assuming a previous customer, loyalty discount for those that bought the whole shebang exists?

Thanks in advance.

Mike

You're right sorry for hijacking the thread. But as hs been said no way in H*** I am sending finacial information thru email. But at this point your customer service has been severely lacking.

Point of fact I HAVE sent emails. Perhaps they never arrived. But I did send them. Which would just prove the point of the insecurity of email ordering. Again sorry for hijacking the thread this will be my last posting in it.

Good luck in the future with this product. It looked like an interesting product. For those that have it I hope it works for you.

Hey Mike,

no credit card data in the mail, just a message "get me the thing". Julia is sending PayPal invoices via https page, the processing is secure. A lot of existing customers don't use the cart. They ask Julia for getting them the sample libraries and she makes everything within a short processing time. Sometimes instantly.

But as said she already got the share.it administration work and we'll add more payment options then. Keep in mind that Euroland is using regular bank transfer, so we MUST have the current cart and it works 100% in germany. We did a test via the synthesizerforum.de and they ALL can see the radio buttons. Anyway, things will be improved though. Surely we check the PayPal merchant options too.

Back to ET: As TSW Pro owner you get the 20% discount, so ET prices are as following

Ethnotronics: Euro 59.00
Ethnotronics Pro: Euro 98.00
Ethnotronics Pro XL: 158.00

You can always upgrade to the next bigger version.

Cheers

Don't worry, we're fans of the free speech. And actually we're sorry that it went not good with your product order. We got your PMs, and as far as I know Julia replied to them. As you can read in other postings our customers are happy with our products and it would be too bad if someone stucks in this f**** cart thing instead of downloading the samples quick as possible. To make music with them. So if you're still thinking about purchasing our products you could wait for the share-it payment settings or drop us a line. Julia told me that she'll offer one free product for you to compensate all the hazzle you had with the cart, if you order any ET version. So a brief message from you and you could have the stuff downloaded in a little while, even today. And with some nice welcome extras :)

Cheers

That's very good business practice. I KNOW BITR is a good company with good morals - it's a freakin shame about the shopping cart BS. I have always advised people to buy from you guys - and have sent TONS of people your way (too bad I am not an affiliate) because I love your products!!!

Julia and Klaus has always been good about support, too. That's why the Ethnotronics debacle is so confusing. A long time ago, you guys tried (and failed) at selling Ethnotronics. You lost a LOT of supporters and customers - even loyal, faithful ones.

Now it's finally really ready, the product pages are up - AND YOU'RE STILL HAVING ISSUES!!! Bless it, that must suck on your end!!!

I really feel bad for you guys. However, all is still good. You WILL overcome this hurdle and Ethnotronics WILL be a great product for everyone to buy!!!

BTW, if your current shopping cart continues to blow chunks and not work out for you (at least on non-german browsers), checkout mal's e-commerce shopping cart - works great and very powerful (and the price is right).

I noticed you mentioned Euroland - what is Euroland? They use bank tranfers? Why not have a normal merchant account? Perhaps I am just confused.

All is well. I even ended up buying the product. But I have to second the motion that perhaps you should look into another option for non-german customers. Although you have mentioned share-it is coming soon so that will hopefully aleviate the problem. Okay enough talk about this issue hopefully my next post will be singing the praises of ET :)

Hey,

all is well sounds like playing a cool chord harmony Eb maj7/9 with a C in the bass - strummed on a plucked instrument :)

Have fun with ET!
