best laptop for playing live?

Unusually I find myself agreeing with BONES here (:hihi:) - the overriding priority is smooth audio performance, but, for some of today's demanding synths, or using the laptop as a mixing console, the Eee is not going to cut it.

Let alone, I've no idea what chipsets it uses, and I suspect the graphics subsystem doesn't handle memory bandwith as intelligently as the Intel chipsets.

I'm looking at a Pentium M or better- a few voices of a modern synth like Minimonsta is easily going to choke anything less.

And extra CPU headroom is never going to hurt in the lowering-blood-pressure-in-a-live-situation stakes :)
