du auch, hypercyclic runs in Logic, but you need to set up the IAC midi loopback device. Very easy to do:

thanks for the explanation. i will test it later :)

yeah, it got my attention first, but it's only vst and logic only can use audiounits.
i think i have a look for some freeware vst-host for testing it, but this way it will never be really usable for me ;)
of course there is also the "vst-au converter" by fxpansion, but i would only use it for 2 or 3 freeware-plugins and i don't have the money right know as most plugins are also available as au.

yeah i quite like that one, and your right the presets don't do it justice at all
Yeah sorry about that! I totally ran low on time. Basically I made a prototype quite some time ago, but started finalizing it into a working plugin like two days before the deadline. There was no time for collecting presets or even beta-testing. Feel more than free to pass presets on to me. I know that there aren't many modulation options etc, but that was a choice-by-design. I wanted it to be simplistic, even if that means you can't make any mondo-evolving-sounds with it :)

f**king hell, bunch of deadlines are going to suffer from this! Will be testing these babies in Renoise. Cheers to all the participating devs!

wow fantastic work everyone! That's a cool collection of new plugs to play with :)

It is a shame that there's not more mac stuff. I'm hoping that by the next DC I'll be able to do some mac VST.. we'll see.

So to all the other devs - bon chance, and may the users win!

I'm reviewing a short user guide, which will demystify some things.

Hi,

Sometimes we must do complex things to do "beep beep".

I think that the freeware devs do not use the user opinions, they create for them first.
It's important to share the result because if we create a really good plugin it's stupid to keep it only for us.
You don't play music for the walls, this is the same thing.

This is a fact that we can do complex plugins but I think the user can learn.

You can use only the basic parameters or just play to try the presets.

Starting to move to using FreePascal with Lazarus for cross-platform pascal development! I've got just under a year to get it together!

Hi Tuz, hi Exo,

can you guys and everybody else having problems with Kable please verify that you have at least Java Runtime Environment 5 installed? If not you can get the latest version here http://java.sun.com/javase/downloads/index.jsp
You can also try to update to the latest version. Maybe this helps.

You can check by going to the command line and typing

Code: Select all

java -version
which should give something like

Code: Select all

java version "1.6.0_01"
Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.6.0_01-b06)
Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 1.6.0_01-b06, mixed mode, sharing)
Would be great if you could post your reply in the Kable tread I just created.

Cheers,
hezee

You might have to hold down shift and scroll the mouse wheel.

dw
hold down the ctrl button and then use the scroll wheel

that used to always happen to me while I was visiting this site, my fonts resizing themselves that is

gnu23 wrote:Wavtransit - Can't get it to work in eXT. I'm sure it's a brain fart on my side. The interface is a wonder, so it can't be eye candy for its own sake. I was able to at least direct it to files I wanted to slice (seems both WAV and mp3 are recognized), but after that, nada. :help:
I posted an explaination in the bug thread:

Thanks! Getting ready to fire 'er up now and have a go. :D

Followup: Ok, wavtransit is just too cool. :hail:
We shall see orchestral machines with a thousand new sounds, with thousands of new euphonies, as opposed to the present day's simple sounds of strings, brass, and woodwinds. -- George Antheil, circa 1925 ---

OK! I downloaded them all, some are amazing, some are just OK. I want to thank everyone who made these. Lotsa fun, and some of them were as inspiring as can be.

Heres my first impressions of just a few of them. (I tested them all, but these stood out)

Element of surprise
- This is a very gimmicky idea. I expected crap, but it is actually great. Sounds are great, and the amount it changes and what is capable of is amazing. I expected to hate it, but I actually really, really like it. I guess my main question would be if I make/find a preset I like, can I recall or load it later?

Aleino
- Very different. A lot of genres and sounds that don't suit me or the style of music I make, but the interface and it's diversity make it fun to play with. Good times here....

Dr. Modus - OH NO! NOT ANOTHER DRUM MACHINE! KIDDING! It was actually very cool. Quick easy interface. I would have to say that more presets would be nice, but hey it's free and I am not complaining. Pretty cool over all. Quick, simple, effective.

Oddy Free
- Didn't think it could come close, but it was really convincing! This was one of my favorite synths tested. My only complaints are lack of presets and the GUI. The "Marble" looking splatter painted front isn't very pretty, but can also make it hard to read the buttons. Small complaints, but it's still very, very worth it. Great synth.

Super Riff Guitar
- I will probably take crap for this one, but very cool indeed! I think it would be great to scratch tracks out with, and I have to say that I can imagine this buried behind some real guitars to help fill them in. I wish the user had control over the gain (obviously part of the sample), and possibly a knob to mix in fret noise. Great work, very fun to use,

Kx Moldulad - Last but not least Kx. Very, very diverse sound. This thing reminds me of every pre 80s synth ever made. Very usable presets, and really cool vintage sound effects. I could see myself using this in songs, but it is great to just open and mess with.

I will be moving to the effects very soon. I just wanted to say thanks again to all the devs for all this fun stuff. If I mentioned it didn't have enough presets, it's because I am a preset whore, and I am sorry
