Hey cool! I'm glad you have a chance to play with them. :)

The original developer D.S.Shan is a good friend and overall fantastic fellow (I live in Beijing). I helped him with some early tech support and testing and provided him with a web server until he got his business up and running properly. In the (five years now?) ensuing years the products have done extremely well with some additional partners/investors. I've also been working with Shan for (far too long I think) on some ideas regarding a general bass VSTi (with a certain flavour to it) hoping to make it a bit more flexible than a Trilogy or Bournemark -- with bowed instruments as well. *more on this later I hope*

In the interim (apart from all the other irons in the fire & general income generation) I am getting ready to open a small custom instrument manufacturing company here with another partner. We just finished designing a Novax-style fanned-fret 10-String acoustic-electric which I hope will be ready to test soon. We'll also have a 5-string acoustic-electric bass not unlike (yet not too similar) to the Tacoma Thunderchief. I'll send you a catalogue :)

I'm not trying to hawk the Kong percs on you -- sorry  but they sound like they'd be an interesting fit into some of your work (they're quite unique). Have a listen again to the remaster here -- I think you can hear the quality and natural depth of the samples. Shan is also affiliated with the Beijing Symphony, so the sampling for all the Kong instruments has been first-hand pristine-recorded and all original, and of course, as authentic as you can possibly get. :tu:

**Also, if you listen again with a player like Windows Media Player or similar that displays artwork embedded in the mp3s, you can see me ugly face on the CD cover art... :)

**PMs fellas

Cheers,
Alex 8)
