That’s an interesting tip. I’m generally not happy with the way IR-1s menu system is so clumsy, yet it has IRs that are just too useful to me, many a few of them.

I’m holding out though. Waves has just implemented a resize feature. Alone it’s not good enough and doesn’t help with the menus, but I read something on a different forum published by one of Waves’ own. He/she did mention that hi-res graphics are on the way.

It seems like they wanted to make the zoom functionality available as quickly as possible without delaying it further while waiting for their graphic artists to be redoing all their plugins.

I’m hoping they address IR’s menu system at the same time. It seems like it would be the logical thing to do, but there’s no guarantee.

It appears the NX range and Abbey Road uses .wir IRs. I reckon this tool will not work on these newer .wir files. Waves would have realised and updated to stop this.

I've been trying to convert Waves' Ryman Auditorium WIR files to WAV for use in another reverb plugin but I'm having some difficulty. Is it possible the wir2wav.py file no longer works on the newer versions of the WIR files? It doesn't seem to work for me. I ran a Dirac test (which sounds good) and compared it to the WAV file generated by wir2wav.py (which sounds bad) and got these results:
Diract vs wir2wav.png
As you can see, I'm using Studio One v6.1.1 (build date 23Mar2023). I increased the amplitude of the Dirac test to be within 0.1dB of fullscale. The output of wir2wav has lots of clipping. I didn't modify the code nor did I touch the resulting wav file. I tried a few other WIR files and they all behave the same way - lots of clipping. Any ideas how to fix this or what I may have done wrong?

Thanks!
