I'll definitely comment on the audio demos later (since going to the doc is a good thing after all - first a cold, now a sinus infection and an infection of the middle ear), but two things stick out to me:
a) Why is the balance slider always focused on microphone A in the screenshots, even though a SM57 and AKG414 were used (which'd result in the sound of the SM57 only)?
b) what is the minimum screensize of the plugin? Or can it be adjusted for smaller screens like EeePCs (the EeePC900 for example has a screensize of 1024x600 Widescreen, my screen is 1024x768 due to a hardware lock of my LCDs)?
Thanks in advance
EDIT:
After watching the video, I spotted a lot of microphones in there, which adds up MASSIVELY to AT and GearBox. Though I still miss the RE20 and the crappy D112, but the usual suspects are there (U87, AKG C414, Shure SM57, Sennheiser MD421), heck even a small membrane mic, but no pressure zone mic or an electret condenser one. Maybe possible in a "model pack" update? I even like the room selection more than other plugins. Would only wish to have control over the microphone's (EQ) before the mixing stage, but I guess this is just a routing issue.
I'd be more curious about parallel routing and mixing (for "easy doubling") and what can be done after the amp stage (is that a pic of the host or of a mixer desk at the end of the chain?). And did I see that right? The Amp stage is made of "two amp models" which can be blended together to create one unique sound? Or can it only be switched?
Videos do say more than thousand words after all.

a) the balance slider is always focused on Mic-A since these demos want to show the sound of the amps+cabs, keeping the same mic and roughly the same mic placement. We assume that most people know how a 57 will sound in front of a cabinet.Compyfox wrote:I'll definitely comment on the audio demos later (since going to the doc is a good thing after all - first a cold, now a sinus infection and an infection of the middle ear), but two things stick out to me:

If you want some fancy mic replacement on the fly or mic mixing with Mic-B, check the video.
b) I don't know for sure the minimum size of the GUI. It can be resized and that's what I do constantly (my screen real-estate is MUCH larger than yours) when using TH1. The startup size (which can be saved with preferences) is small enough to fit with no problems in my MacBook.
These specs will be available in the near future from the developers in person (on the website).

Ah, thanks so far. Might as well check out my edit?
Oh and is that CH-2 the Roland Chorus? You even included a Tube Screamer in the stomp boxes. Suddenly getting more and more interesting now. Add a "you can load your own amp/plugin" feature, and I'm game - even though I still think I won't come off with less than 200USD (more like 500USD).
Quickedit:
Topic Manual: Will the amps, cabs and mics be documented? For those who can't work with changed names (I only know half of the "codes" myself - C for condenser and D for dynamic is also understandable, but what is R)?

The only way you are going to sell discerning KVRians on this plugin is to get a Sound Click MIDI Page, and then occasionally update it
But seriously, best of luck-this looks great to me, and I look forward to trying a demo.

The video is pretty informative from what this might feel like to deal with and what options there are.
However, I think there's a lot of space wasted, which might be ok in some situations (such as in feeling comfortable) but which might as well get in your way in a more or less "tight" screen estate environment.
Hats off for what seems to be possible with cab, mic and mic placement selections. As far as I can tell, this sounds pretty much as close to the real deal as things get, pretty much outdoing the competition (IMO speaker/cab/mic issues are still what makes things sound artificial, regardless whether you're using impulses or true modeling).

Sorry for the shout, but announcing software with no release date is annoying too.

He said it on the first page when talking about yearly quarters. Also he said it on another forum I was reading, but used the words "around October 15th". I think that was an older post though, I don't remember. He said here it was the 15th.hibidy wrote:where did you get that info???????koolkeys wrote:Psst.....it's October 15th!hibidy wrote:pfffft, I don't care about TH-1......

Na, there is actually a markbass amp sim coming out that allegedly uses the same engine as the th1.
I'm really looking forward to it as I have still to find a bass sim I like (no, I don't really care for svx)
