I agree, it's always helpful to get a fresh pair of eyes on stuff you've been gazing at for weeks! Cheers.koolkeys wrote:I think the plugin is better for it for sure.

Ok, a non-GUI related suggestion. I notice that with some controls, such as Decay, it tries to update in real time, at least it seems like it by the looks of the hourglass in the corner. Which is great. Except that it can cause the knob to jitter a little bit and jump too far. It seems that as it updates the knob can lag behind a bit, and once it finishes updating, it jumps. Does this make sense? Maybe it would be better to make the setting update on mouse button release instead of real time?
Just wondering. Maybe there are advantages and things I'm not thinking of.

I've had a little tweak with the thread priorities, see if that's made any difference.koolkeys wrote:I notice that with some controls, such as Decay, it tries to update in real time, at least it seems like it by the looks of the hourglass in the corner. Ok, it's definitely more smooth now. There is still a very slight glitch when you first start moving the knob, but it's much less distracting than before. And before, it would happen not just when you started moving the knob. Now, it's only when you start moving the knob, then it's smooth after that. And even so, it's less jumpy than before.

Well it is doing quite a lot of work when it starts recomputing, so I'll take that as a success
Thanks for checking back.

No problem. Thanks for being willing to deal with the minor gripes! I would also say that the small improvements are a success because it made things better. Even the "glitches" are really really small now, and kind of expected in a convo plugin.
I can't say for sure that I'll have the cash when this comes out(trying to save for a house!), but I can look at it later on. So I don't mind testing things if needed. It will be better when I get to that point! I'll post back as I find things though!

Ok, one other very(and I mean that) small issue with graphics. In the EQ editor, when using a high Q setting, the curve seems to get much lighter(thinner?) and the top almost disappears into the background. It's another one of those "quick glance" things. Maybe adding a slight shading inside the curve or just making the line an extra pixel or two would help.

Yes I've known about this one for a while, I'm unsure how to fix it fully (I really want to do a proper antialised line), deferred to v2.0koolkeys wrote:Ok, one other very(and I mean that) small issue with graphics. Ok, cool. If you mentioned it already, I j ust missed it. Good to know you're on it though! You may want to talk to Christian Budde. He may know. I wish I was a coder, but it's all Grc++k to me!

Hmm, be careful what you wish for, it consumes a lot of time that is better spent making music really!
Christian could probably help, though first I really should try just a little harder. I need to do the AA drawing on the envelopes too really, so I'll concentrate on it when I redo the GUI for the next phase of work probably.

I look forward to it. I'll be here to test! You're going to make me have to buy this at some point down the road! The modulation on impulses is very cool.
Ok, gonna test some more tonight. Thanks!

Ok, my tests of the latest version(0.912) were using Cantibile for quick testing of the knobs. However, that version doesn't scan in Cubase 5. It just stops at Reverberate and nothing happens. If I quit the Cubase process, it blacklists Reverberate and won't add it to the list.
However, version 0.911 loads just fine in the scan, and in a project. So something between 0.911 and 0.912 made it not work in Cubase 5 for me.
Vista 32, 1.83gHz Core2Duo, 3GB RAM, Cubase 5.01(latest).
