Currently, it seems to continue through the pattern regardless of what I'm playing... I'd like to be able to re-trigger the pattern at any time from the start.
Not sure, the idea is that you can stop and start a pattern from any point within the pattern--that way it never loses sync, and you can mix/match patterns.
What I want to be able to do, and it's maybe 'less clever' than what you have but it's the way things like 'akkord guitar' in kontakt work, is that the pattern triggers each time I play a chord. This allows me to manipulate the timing and sync at will.

Obviously, it shouldn't replace the existing functionality - maybe there could just be a defineable keyswitch or CC (so a pedal could be used ?) to act as the retrigger ?

It could be I've missed a way of doing this already, as I've only had a quick play whilst re-installing my DAW, but I couldn't see anything when I looked.

Thanks.

Hey Greg, I have an idea for the update, but perhaps it's too late?
=P

What about a "Random Release," Release? I think that would be great so that I don't have to go through assiging all the release samples to the various sustains. Just a suggestion.

Or beter yet, a way to assign many different release noises, not just random, to a single sustain to avoid using a ton of layers just for multiple release noises.

This would be awesome and convenient!

Any news?

Just got back in town (I was away over the weekend), so I have some catching up to do. In the meantime I posted the new, free CoreBass Cherry Slides on the blog for everybody to download: http://www.orangetreesamples.com/blog/2 ... ry-slides/

Well, there's really only one thing that needs to be done at this point, besides updating the manual with the additions/revisions, is to change the way chords are detected so that they will instantly fret. That way there is no need to anticipate the chords in order for them to be properly fretted in time.

Very Cool!!! Can't wait! :D

Love that option to bend the lowest or highest note.

I'll get used to Low-E being called String-1 and High-E being called String-6. On a real Guitar, it's the opposite way 'round.

Please don't forget the Legacy Presets Folder.

I don't understand the Instrument fully yet. Sometimes I just wanna grab a Power chord, or one of those Special Stereo Spread Presets. All of those old presets got deleted (on my laptop) with the last update. For a while now I've been thinking of Strawberry as a Lead/Rhythm Library with nothing in between. Hope that makes sense!

You're presenting is getting very good.

Wow, that's some great scripting, Greg!

There are different schools of thought regarding string numbering. Some people call the low E string the first string, because it's closest to the performer. Other people call it the 6th string, which is based on an onlooker's perspective. I've heard it taught either way, but if you have any ideas for making that clearer, I'm open to them.

I'm including the legacy presets folder for the rhythm guitar. The lead guitar doesn't have as drastic changes/updates, so the new patches will just replace the old ones.

Oh, I can make you that stereo spread preset again. :)

I wish I could combine the lead and rhythm components, but I actually hit the maximum amount of samples that you can have in an instrument in Kontakt 2!

Thanks! I actually feel like I'm getting sloppier, but just like music performance, it has to do with letting go. And it's also one of those things that you only get better at by doing.

Thanks for your reply! It's funny about the String Numbering. I reckon the format you've adopted is far more intuitive, esp' for keyboard only players.

Looking forward to the 'legacy collection'.

Perhaps the thing about your presentation is that it's more natural.

Keep up the GREAT work. :)

The videos are great. I'm very excited. The rhythm module looks way more useful.
