Amplitube next models? What will they be?

Totally off topic... one thing I'd like to see that's not a new amp or effect is a way to control volume with one pedal on a stereo chain. Seems simple, but you can't assign a MIDI input or StealthPedal to control two volume pedals at the same time.

I run AT3 in eco mode playing live. On my computer some of the presets will create clipping noise on HI or Mid, Eco mode sounds very good thru a PA. Speaking of thru a PA, I have to say the 59 bassman sounds just like a big Fender in front of me thru PA speakers. All of the amps sound great, but I'm just a huge fan of the Fender Bassman.

Nay, this won't make me sell my kidney, as that is the only option for now.9 years old!? Well, my friend. It is probably time to upgrade regardless of the issue you're having.
My computer is relatively stable, and it is still capable of running the rival amp sims with ease. I just wanted to point out that if IK folks are still looking for things to do, they should make it work more efficient.
I wanted to point out that even on the latest machines, Amplitube eats explicitly more than it's rivals, when not offering the same amount of sound improvement.
My computer is old, not faulty. At least it's slowness can make me see resource efficiency in a more close view.
And Peter, I don't have an iMac, my pal does
Cheers, David!

Well your pal can contact support
With Agreed showing that on a current machine it is a matter of a few percent more than rivals, I would say that we're a few percent better than those rivals but hey I'm a touch biased

To be fair: he's talking about RAM and you're talking about CPU. I think Amplitube is worth every last CPU cycle, but it's RAM usage is ridiculously high. I mean, it's over 1/4 gigabyte of RAM (approximately 260MB if I'm not mistaken) per instance. With three guitar tracks and a bass all running Amplitube, I've got no RAM leftover for the drum or piano samples.Peter - IK Multimedia wrote:Well your pal can contact supportWith Agreed showing that on a current machine it is a matter of a few percent more than rivals, I would say that we're a few percent better than those rivals but hey I'm a touch biased

Nostalgia!
Oh and FET, I was thinking of the first person who asked specifically about CPU but you are right there's is concern about the RAM being stated in the thread too. I've mentioned there are some trade-offs that could be done there, but I honestly don't know the status of any of those potential trade-offs.

+1 And a GOOD phaser would be nice. Still haven't heard one in VST land that gives me a stiffy. Like perhaps a Roland AP-5 Phase Five or AP-7 Jet Phaser.A Mutron III Envelope Filter

Same here!Peter - IK Multimedia wrote:True, and it lived on into the 90s but seriously I have also asked for this one. I miss it!
I had one, and foolishly sold it about 7-8 years ago.
That is the one sale I regret the most...I have tried a couple of times on eBay to get one, but have been outbid every time...and always for about 3X more than what I sold it for a few years ago...

As a HUGE George Lynch fan I have to take issue with this.redshift factor wrote:I think the MP-1 is most associated with many of the shred gods of the '80s, like Paul Gilbert and George Lynch. If you want to be rockin' like Dokken, you need an MP-1!
But hey, I get your point about the MP-1 having THAT 80s sound. Would be a lot of fun to have that in AmpliTube

I think he also endorsed another preamp that was similar but competitive to the MP-1 if memory serves (and really after all this time, it doesn't often serve well)blueman wrote:As a HUGE George Lynch fan I have to take issue with this.redshift factor wrote:I think the MP-1 is most associated with many of the shred gods of the '80s, like Paul Gilbert and George Lynch. He's actually quite obsessed with "tone" and probably wouldn't care for the oft overused MP-1 of the day.

Michael Wagener says that in addition to the modded Marshalls, he recorded Laneys (another great suggestion for Amp3
It's crazy the lengths these guys go to, just to record us silly guitarists

I've seen a photo of a sick SRV setup with more amps/cabs and mics but sounds like a similar setup (well in recording with a lot o' mics, not in sound obviously!). Thanks for the link!
