^You have to manually place Zen's VST dll in your VST folder.
From the quickstart:
From the quickstart:
After installing Zen you will find the following files (in the folder you specified for installation):
Zen.dll: the Zen VST plugin. Move this file into your VST plugins folder.

Yes it is a vst - after installation, if you want to use the vst, you will need to copy zen.dll into your vst folder.
You're not the only one with this "runtime error" thing. I'm just confused that it only happens on certain systems.

ok just seen your reply on Audiofanzine . XP home edition pack 3 here , with an Intel core quad Q8200 so i thnik it's good !
I've copied the dll but when i open Orion i've en error message from it with the its plugchecker , i've tried the vstcfg tool of Richard in Orion but it also doesn't work so Orion doesn't recognize the dll .

which version of IE ?
I don't know why Orion doesn't recognize it, but you can force it to accept it by adding
zen=1
to the vstcfg.txt file

I don't have those issues, Orion shows and loads ZEN without serious problems here... apart from the window problems.

...which is why it is so F..ing annoying to fix this thing. It only happens on certain systems. And the useless Microsoft error message ("This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way") doesn't help either.crimsonwarlock wrote:I don't have those issues, Orion shows and loads ZEN without serious problems here... apart from the window problems.

Can you add some debug code or something to capture events in a logfile for beta testers perhaps?Big Tick wrote:...which is why it is so F..ing annoying to fix this thing. It happens before any Zen code is actually executed - when the OS tries to launch the executable.aMUSEd wrote:Can you add some debug code or something to capture events in a logfile for beta testers perhaps?
