Cool sounding comp, but the font much too small. unusable

Post

Yes, thank you for this... but if you could make the background a little brighter (and maybe little bigger font), it would help a lot with readability.

No problems! (...a couple of clicks...) Get it:

No problems! (...a couple of clicks...) Use the version without GUI:

Actually I tried to do plugin window 30% bigger and trust me it's unusable too. (Got the size bigger than TRack3 window and TRacks3 windows is not small.)

Background color was checked on designer's calibrated monitor and was OK. I'm not so cool designer to make the picture perfect vieweable on all kind of monitors (hope I need some mastering plugin for it :-)

the plugin is great, colors are amazing!
I love the 1st version.
Thank you!

This is very nice comp! It has good character and I think the GUI is very cool. Brings back memories... Of course labels are little small, but it is perfectly usable on 1920x1080 resolution with my 24" monitor so I see no problem here. And it is a compressor so you have to use your "hands" and ears more than eyes anyway, so I'm very fine with that.

It is great to have some variation in attack characteristics. Small details can make big differences. Oh and BTW, I'm still using the older version.

I like the new version :) :x

Thanks a lot! For me new/old version sound was 80%/20% of "to be or not to be". But for such a great guys I feel I should revert latest sound changes back. And leave new sound for the next plugin :-)

I tested Molot when developing it on drums sounds and that's because it sounds like this. But if I will develop next plugin on vocals... :-) Very few ideas left for this version to try: some changes in limiter and linear phase in oversampling mode.

Does anyone have any suggestions about GUI size in pixels? You can get this 1600x1200 picture:

and try to resize it to your preferred size. Tell me what you have got and maybe I'll do a bit larger GUI.

I think it's not a problem for me to get a Mac for couple of days and compile VST for Mac. But Mac users want AU version. I think nobody offer me Mac for a couple of weeks :-) But my friend told me he can try to port it when he'll have a free time and if it'll be enough interest for it. So you have a chance :-)

WOW :o

Amazing ! leave as big as you can ! (here, on my Dell 1680x1050, it crops but nonetheless, but it is very
attractive looking !)

Amateur technicians are assessed by the tools they possess - and the amount of those tools, with an obvious preference to the latest hyped ones.

I'd say make it somewhere 700-800 pixels vertical. Most of the monitors these days are 1080HD, should fit fine.

Background structure needed for this interface...

(ru: я не сразу понял, что именно однородный фон, без структуры, портит впечатление от плагина. Добавить структурку аккуратную, и подсознание будет воспринимать прибор как профессиональный ;) )

that .png image size is great! :) however, maybe if you changed the color of the font to White it would help with readability.

Also your "vu meter" just looks like it is sitting there as an after thought and looks kind of silly. Maybe because it has texture and your background green has none.

Well when you have the opportunity to compile on the mac please do the VST too, not just AU. A lot of producers i know don't use AU's at all but VST's on the mac. Plus it helps me keep compatibility when i work on a project on both pc and mac.

Thanks and great sound!

Tried out your plugin I must say I am very impressed. I love how it sounds and how responsive it is. Plugins where you turn the knobs and they behave how you'd expect are big in my book. It feels like hardware colors in a classically musical way. Great job.
