f**king Twats mate.. Who is this Team Assign? Would you be able to protect your new synth in anyway against these NOB JOCKEYS?

Anyways i love your synth so you'll have a legit sale here when it goes x64..

All the best.

Rob

Thanks guys! But I think there is no serious suffer, many great developers have been releasing their own synths for years, regardless of the dark side deeds. :) I think this is cool.

Hey Dmitry

This synth sounds great well done, i'm gonna buy it now :)

I did have a problem with no sound from certain presets though so closed the plugin down the re-opened and it seems to have solved the problem, if it happens again i'll let you know.
Cheers

Teksonik wrote:Wow! :-o Absolutely awesome synth. It has the two most important elements needed for a new synth in this crowded market......Character and Quality......and it has loads of both. Well done all the way around! :tu:

To be honest I went into this Demo thinking "ehhh another synth, I've got a ton of synths and I can't possibly need this........half an hour later it's on the top of my must buy list.......... :hihi:
You and me both mate ;) Funny you should mention that it's got character. After having had my first play with the demo, I closed it and went for a cigarette... sat outside and thought to myself "hmmmm, that's a bit different... it seems like, just, you know, another synth: BUT IT JUST ISN'T! There's something very unique and particular about it's sound. It doesn't sound like other synths, in a really punchy good way :o". Went back and had another play with the demo :D (I rarely go back for second's with demos... no really, I just don't).

As for the cracking thing, that sucks, but see it as free publicity I guess (you must have made a massive impression with this synth to have had it cracked THAT quickly...). Not a hell of a lot that can be done about cracking, seems to be inevitable in this day and age (:() so might as well put a positive spin on it.

This UI is a work of genius...so clever and simple...amazing :tu:

Could be great also to have limiter for resonance in filter section. Otherwice it can blow speakers. Really powerfull beast.

Tried the demo....was blown away. Couldn't stop playing with it. Sounds like nothing else out there. Dripping with quality. The highs are crystal clear. Kind of reminds me of ni reaktor's VA synths a bit, but not exactly. Similar character.
The GUI is great, nice balance between looks and function. It is a CPU hog, compared to most other VSTi's, but still able to run over 16 instances in an avarage project, so all good (using i7).
Waiting for the x64 version and bugfixes (mute patches, cpu spikes, occasional noise explosion).
All in all, out of nowhere to my "top 3 to buy" list in nothing flat. Respect. 8)

Thanks, Mikey! Could you tell me what is your host, please. I will try to reproduce the problem and fix it as soon as possible.

This is the most pleasant tip for me. You know, when I started to build the synth, I have three main features in mind. Clear highs, recognizable character (if possible) and a low CPU usage (I wanted to have the synth as fast as Zebra2). When development was approaching completion, the sad trade-off was occured. If I want to save the quality I have to significantly increase the CPU load. I have took the risk. And now I'm very glad that you like this synth as it is. I have some thoughts on how to implement some CPU-saving features and will try to realize them.

There's the fine line of course... and a good thing you've use Zebra as part of the inspiration: Urs is the master (in my books anyway) at shunning convention, and putting his foot down and saying "it's optimized as far as it'll go without compromising sound quality, deal with it"... just never in those words. Best of all, people just go "Ok, well, he's the man, so if he says it's ok, it must be". Obviously I'm not saying shun requests for further optimization (as you say, you've got some ideas already, good job), but stick to your guns with regards to the quality, I think you've got a winner here

Yes, George, I think the growth should be directed down this way.

Very nice synth !!!
Distinctive sound, rich, modern...i love it

About the CPU usage, URS said about ACE "it is a CPU hog, deal with it" (i second GeorgeZ on this point).Because he used audio rate modulations, and this is where ACE takes a big part of his sound ;)
Note:
ACE is very demanding on CPU.
You will only be able to enjoy ACE with a modern, fast computer, and you may learn to appreciate the freeze function in your DAW - Don't say we didn't warn you :-)
A quote from ACE page ;)

So don't be afraid of keeping an high CPU usage on some features if you think the sound would be altered.

And about the cr4ck, see the only advantage : free advertising :D
You are new on the market, and this kind of things may finally help you getting more attention

You may also think about a limited features/stripped down synth, but same sound spirit freeware/cheap version/tryware with nagscreen.
Sometimes, it help getting much payed full version customers ;)

Good luck

I think the synth is overpriced at $199 :?

$99 would make it accessible to more users.

I must confess, I'm another person who immediately thought 'just another synth', but there's something really appealing about diversion.

It sounds really clean, even with dark and dirty sounds. I think its because the oscillators are so pure and clean, and the filters work without undesirable artefacts.

I was making usable sounds within minutes. I've 'clicked' with few synths in such a short time, so that's impressive.

How long will the introduction offer last?
