I made a new bounce of "The Lost Child" for strings quartet, again with the Solo Strings 2. I changed some settings and included some slides. The general sound is more subtle now, less aggressive. In the previous version, I wasn't familiar enough yet with the software but I am getting the hang of it now. I really like this new Solo Strings 2 version, there are many ways of tweaking the sounds and I am discovering more every time I work with it.

@j1974st Sorry, I just quickly grabbed several entries from this thread in order to respond to a poster who was hoping for more (I think it was CS 2) demos than were on the KHS site. I was primarily looking for customer demos in different styles that had different mixes so he could get an idea of what could be done with the library. FTR I really like your song.j1974st wrote:I didn't say it in the former post but the song's title is "Epic vals".j1974st wrote:Hi all.

I'll update that post now to include your song. If anyone else wants me to include their entry in that post, please let me know.

Thanks Peter for your answer and clarification,I didn't know if the omission was caused by some kind of problem to get the song included in the contest.

Here is another string quartet piece of mine that I bounced with Solo Strings 2. A really great feature in this new version of Solo Strings, is the Duplet feature that gives the option to create fast up and down bow playing. I used it a lot in this piece, "The Snow is Melting" to express the falling of water drops.

Everyone who posts their songs using a KHS library (as described in the original post) in this thread is entered in the contest. So no worries, you're good!j1974st wrote:Thanks Peter for your answer and clarification,I didn't know if the omission was caused by some kind of problem to get the song included in the contest.

I've listened to each of the entries at more than once and will listen to everything again.
I'd invite others who listen to leave comments about your favorite entries. Kirk and I will be considering community comments when reviewing the entries.

André, this is powerfully evocative in the way you describe: falling drops of water cutting through icy winter drifts and monoliths.Andre van Haren wrote:Here is another string quartet piece of mine that I bounced with Solo Strings 2. Here is another composition for string quartet, again bounced with the Kirk Hunter's Solo Strings 2 library.
This piece is titled, "Nature Awakes", I wrote it last spring when the winter was finally over!
