Filters in Adobe After Effects or Vegas were likely used for the Effects. Very well done IMO. 8)

This thing is crazy. I have yet to understand all of it, but it have pretty good potential right now. But i'm dizzy right now, feels like piloting a submarine.

I'm not into dubstep. Lately I've been trying to do more soundtrack type stuff, but I demoed this for a little bit and I'm really impressed. Although, like others I certainly don't understand it all yet, but I could some really different sounds out of it pretty quickly. I especially like the evolving stuff. The FX sequencer is an interesting idea. All the options in the centre panel allow for quite a bit of creativity. The GUI is one of the coolest I've ever seen. I could see myself using this for some sci-fi type tracks.

Bought this today,the people at sugar bytes are great! Artillery 2 still does a few things nothing else does. I think the strength of this instrument will be when using it for non dubstep stuff in unconventional ways. I'm arpeggiating the crap out of it! Super dope. Hope the CPU gets a little more optimized, but over all it's very cool with a lot of unique character.

The trailers look great but they seem pretty pointless to me. I was hoping for a more tutorial approach that might explain some of the innovative features and how to use them.

That might come later. There is usually a trailer video followed by some kind of detailed overview of features in some of their previous plugs. A tutorial video should be on the way...hopefully. :wink:

Well... I'm definitely interested, but I'm not very impressed by the lack of Sugar Byte's support for its current customer base. I mean, I haven't even received a release email about this synth, let alone an introductory price or loyal customer discount... Wot dah!?

C'mon Sugar Bytes, it's your party, when the hell are you going show up?

I have always gotten great support from Sugar-byte even when I personally am annoying. They are great, i just think they are crazy busy right now with this release.

First off let me say that I consider Sugarbytes customer support to be top notch. I have had correspondence with them many times and I put them up there with the best. The email notifications seem to always lag behind the announcements here @ KVR and that goes for all the emails I get from Camel Audio, U-he and just about everyone else.

Second, and most important, I think Cyclops is really cool! Yes, it's a big sound mangling synth. Up until now alchemy was the only synth I had where I could generate a sound and totally screw it up, in a good way though. Cyclops is nothin like Alchemy though. And that's a good thing in my book. Once I figured out that just about everything in the interface related to modulation and sound mangling then it was pretty simple to make my way around. In fact I really, really like the design of the gui. Yes, on my 27" monitor it's a bit small, but it's doable. Those graphs make it easy to see which gadget is modulating which parameter.

I have not gone too deep into the generators to understand where they may be lacking. But I did successfully pull my own samples into the transformer. My only gripe there is that the plugin reads the sample folder when it loads, not when you click to load a new sample. So if you want to play around with more of your own stuff, make sure you put it there before you load the plugin, else you have delete and reload it. (definitely not a show stopper)

The video game is a bit gadgety but it does serve a purpose so I can't give it a demerit.

Wobble bass is not something I use much of. Fun stuff, no doubt. But I think the plugin is a bit more than that. The feedback and usability of the middle section with the graphs along with the FX sequencer is really unique, IMO. I got sounds out of Cyclops that it would take a while to do otherwise. And I liked what I got. I am pretty sure this plug will find its way into my plugin folder before the year is out. I played with it for 5 hours straight and only stopped because I couldn't stay awake any longer. That has happened since I bought Alchemy.
