In MY opinion... nobody should ever decide if to test a FX/Instrument based on just the example tracks. Tastes differ so of course there's differences to what the developer likes to show and what the listener likes. I thought that was common sense.
Judging a plugin based on demo tracks alone is like judging a car because the commercial had it driving within inches of cliffs and around mountains with ease. Why test drive the thing? I'm sure it will be great! They said so!

No, it's more like judging a car based on a commercial that shows it going 45 mph in the right hand lane (USA style

) and it's a minivan and then takes a turn cautiously at 5 mph. I listened to Rob's demo and I respect his work but it seems like even he can't squeeze out an exciting sound out of this thing. I dare any of you who are defending it to do a 1:1 audio shootout with Harmor. Anyway, this is more or less how I've felt about every RP product. To me they all seem so tame and bland.

They really are boring

Furthermore the player for them is not very good.

I'm not on FB unfortunately. If anyone has a good path of communication and thinks he should know about it then please contact him on my behalf. In the meantime I quickly chucked some different knobs on there, again they're not perfect but I don't have a lot of time for tweakage....

Interesting that this thread turned into a discussion of the demo sounds and songs and not what the synths can and can't do, and how it really performs. May I ask what's most important to you? I find you guys a bit confusing, and maybe a bit lazy... I dunno. Ok, you're probably hating me for me saying that, but I can't really understand your point of view in the long run. What if Blade turns up to be something you like when you do try it out? If so, wasn't it worth it? You can only loose some time, and in the same amount of time you're spending on posting here you could demo it instead.

So what do you REALLY think about the synth, not the GUI, and not the demo songs?

I can't believe I hear these bullocks from the long time KVR user. Are you RP hater or what? Tell me you favourite synth and I will name it a peace of crap. Will you be happy then? Do you know what is like to CODE such synth? next time always put in the end "IMO". Don't spend youR time on reviews without actual demoing.

Thanks mate, well IMO you just need to spend time with the synth, i had lots of fun doing the sounds for this one espescially the XY feature. I only had 5 days to get the 64 sounds i had programmed for Blade so i had to learn fast but i liked the results i got with it.

That skin is the tops i would love to have my copy looking like that for sure. You should send that to Rob himself and do some sort of deal hehe it's really good.. He's always on Facebook anyways

Thanks Rob, I'm not on FB and he's more likely to open something from someone he knows, you don't fancy passing the GUI on for me do you?
