Thanks for the comments and the votes folks, cant believe I got in the upper half of such a strong pool
... was great to be back in the mix again, and again, sorry I couln't find that couple of hours, even in segments to review every track.
It always seems that the time can be found somehow, after all, it took about 10 hours in total to do my own ... with only a few days between starting and the deadline for submission, so it should not have been difficult to find a couple of hours in a two week period to divide between all the other entries ..... but it was

Again, well done to everyone, and glad that the point deduction did not cost Jasinski the top prize ... there was obviously more to the merit and quality of the track than a consistent kik.
Agree V'ger, it needs to be stated clearly in the rules re Sampling, there have been previous contests ( my fault? ) where, due to constraints like cpu hit, sampling has been allowed. However it's always difficult to decide at the outset of a comp whether this method is necessary to free up folks' creativity ... and I suppose there is bound to be some confusion.
Anyway, talking of kiks, I have a decent one coming from Plex2 ... but that's all I have .... pressure's on

Oh ... my apologies, I read things too quickly .... I now see that points were not deducted from Jasinski as some sort of penalty, just that V'ger would have given more of his personal allocation of points had sampling not been used.... which is fair enough ... Sorry for the confusion
