Overloud TH2 + MarkBass Mark Studio, Softube Metal Amp Room + Vintage + Bass Amp Rooms, IK Multimedia AmpegSVX In AT3 (With everything else also/fully loaded up), Digidesign Eleven with Eleven Rack, Update no doubt to Peavey Electronics ReValver MkIII 3.5 from AC's ReValver Mk II and even maybe use NI ShitforgtrRig 5 Pro and try all the others I have not done along with pretty much all the freeware gear by Ignite Amps stuff, TSE Stuff, LePou Stuff, Voxengo BoogieX and more. All with multiple mic'd cabinet Impulses mostly (Some I'd mix abit of the modelled cabs in also)

I would rather not ever be in that position though thank you very much

Fender, Orange, Ampeg, Soldano, Seymour Duncan, T-Rex, Jet City are all satisfied with using IK Multimedia exclusively to model their gear. Do they need to broaden their horizons too?

I've been working with AmpliTube since version 1 (long before I ever started working for IK.) Fact is, I don't need to broaden my horizons, because the AmpliTube Custom Shop keeps broadening them for me.

It is better to use one full featured ampsim and know it extremely well. I do, which is probably why I am so satisfied with using just one. Just about any model you would use in another ampsim can be found in AmpliTube, and I have tried many over the years. But I haven't ever found one that does something AmpliTube can't, or, most importantly, that sounded better.

There is a reason why the top brands and artists come to IK when they want their gear modeled, and no one else, with more to come shortly...

Each amp in AmpliTube is component level modeled on a real amp we own and measured, using modeling techniques our engineers have pioneered and perfected over the past 10 years.

There are some interesting impulses in there, but personally, I need to have the total control over my miking and room mix that AmpliTube 3 provides. Still, IR libraries like this can be an excellent compliment to AmpliTube for those that don't mind that. But you still need to start with a solid foundation of AmpliTube's superior modeling.

Interesting. I own AmpliTube 3 along with many other alternatives.
While AmpliTube is quite good, I've found better options such as TH2 and S-Gear. For some models I will use AmpliTube, for others I prefer alternatives.

S-Gear does not mention any brand name amps, there's no hype or excessive marketing, and most people who try it prefer it over the alternatives (except perhaps for high gain sounds).

I don't really care about "superior modeling" but do care about great sounds. AmpliTube has some awful sounding amps, even if they sound 100% like the original. Of course, YMMV.

Nah, it's better w/o to me. The one cab that can't be replaced though are those lovely leslie cabs.

I use a lot of different ones but I will admit - Amplitube has been one of my top ones since the very beginning. There will be a demo of Headcase Lite released very soon in this forum (already released in gam) and it's got great sounds too.

1. Le456 or Lecto (Lepou) for highgain.
2. HyBrit (Lepou) for Marshall sound.

Haven't found a really good clean ampsim yet. But that's probably because I'm spoiled by the Mesa Mark III I used to play.

Here is the current list:

3. AmpliTube 3 Orange Tiny Terror
4. AmpliTube 3 Jet City (the 20 watt model)
5. AmpliTube 3 Fender Princeton

Honorable mentions:

1. AmpliTube 3 "Blue" AC30 model (versatile and takes pedals better than most models)
2. AmpliTube 3 Roland JC120 model
3. TH2 Randall "Lynch Box" and Brunetti models

For AmpliTube 3, throw the T-Rex Moller or Mudhoney in front of nearly any amp model and it makes for a nice, tubey, flavorful bundle of goodness

Even with their relentless marketing

AmpliTube 3 certainly is one of the best but S-Gear is slightly ahead of the game in terms of modeling authentic tube tone. Their newest 2.0 release includes GORGEOUS modulation effects along with an already amazing delay effect and EXCELLENT models

S-Gear and AmpliTube 3 compliment each other very nicely. S-Gear makes up for what's missing in AmpliTube 3 with very good Marshall tones and a Dumble-like model that sounds very good. These two combined, along with Redwirez cabinet impulses, can get me any tone I'm going after.

Also, for my tastes, NOTHING beats the cab impulses by Redwirez, which is part of the secret sauce in S-Gear

After using recabinet, I don't feel that way anymore.

Looser, more natural feeling imho.

Well, ok then...I'll have to pull that one out of the dusty VST locker and see what beautiful noises I can make.

I bought in to Recabinet early, so I got the free upgrade for this. Are there any specific amp models/cabinet match ups that you like particularly?
