Evolution Electric Guitar Strawberry - Update Released!

Hi Greg,
First of all: thanks for the update!
The previous version of EEG had several strum keys and each of those keys could have its own setting in terms of strum speed etc. It was also possible to create strums that would only play say the highest three strings or two strings starting from the lowest one.
That design made it very easy to create strum patterns with a lot of variation.
Has this been removed from the latest version?
(It appears that there are only two strum keys, except for the individual strings, and both play the full chord; down-stroke/up-stroke.)
Thanks
F

There are more controls in the "Performance" / "Chord" section, in terms of limiting the strums to a range of strings, using the "Low Limit" and "High Limit" controls.
In terms of altering strum speed beyond simple velocity modulation, all the controls are meant to be convenient to automate--so you can automate the strum speed knob if you need to momentarily access slower strums, etc.
Most of the reason for the simplification was to leave more room in the mapping, for mapping effects, an octave of strumming patterns, etc.

Hi Greg,
Regarding strums, I was wondering if it's possible to assign certain articulations as strum keys, so as I hold a chord, I can quickly generate patterns with sustains and mutes without having to worry about keyswitches or controllers? (similar to what Realguitar does)

So have more than just a single down/upstroke strum key, but multiple ones which you could assign to different articulations?

Just bought my copy. Thanks for a great product. I already have Core Bass and wanted to add this to my collection.
Tossed together a short demo using both EEG and Core Bass (and a few other libraries), just to see how it sounds. Works perfectly. I'll definitely be using this from now on.
Here's the song I tossed together (if anyone wants to check it out):

Thanks again for a superb product!

Hi Greg.
I installed the update shortly after it was announced, but I've kept using the old version because I had it set up in a template. I've now found some time to do an update to my template and loaded up the new EEG. I was completely lost. I wanted to do a funky strum-pattern, but couldn't find the very easy to use pattern-editor from the old version. After reading the update manual I figured out how to play the new strum-patterns, but I definately liked the old editor much better! I miss it! Creating your own strum-patterns seems very tedious and I wouldn't know how to set up a midi-pattern (what notes to set) in order to get the pattern I need... I would request either a more detailed tutorial on exactly what to do, or bring back the strum-pattern editor

Have you checked out the on how to create your own strumming patterns already? The nice part about the new system is that you can work in the comfort of your own DAW rather than being limited to a built-in sequencer.
The main problem with using built-in sequencers is that you're very limited when it comes to the rhythms available, the length of the pattern, odd meters, etc.
