Ha! Of course I was kidding and talking about compressor plug-ins, but that was a classic. There I go putting my foot in my... err, uh... mouth, again. Carry on.

On Topic at KVR. There's no such thing..

Sorry, that's at least in part my fault, and I'll pass on the sandwich since I'm full.

I'm still trying to warm up to the busspressor interface, get it? Warm up? Because it looks like vintagewarmer? Anyway, I know it shouldn't matter, but it does. Sometimes you'll grow to like something you don't at first.

I never did care for vintagewarmer or its GUI all that much and my first PSP purchase was mastercomp which I paid $200 for, but that's another story. I didn't mind the more modern yet also similar look of mastercomp.

Other PSP plug-ins I bought were what they were looks-wise and I didn't think about it much until now (squad, nitro/n2o, oldtimer, nobleq, easyverb/pianoverb. I just wish this one looked more like UAD, Duende, Waves, etc.

All this talk about GUIs. Do they really make plugins sound better?

:bang: :bang: :bang: :bang: :bang:

it's ok to hate presets, it is not good to talk about poor preset management. Never mind that the preset manager and the presets are there. It is just not ok to be concerned with such things.

Why would you want the mousewheel to work properly? I mean, you have a mouse, right? Never mind that the it works going in one direction, I mean, that's good enough, isn't it?

It's TERRIBLE to be concerned about a GUI looks. TERRIBLE! You should only care about function. It's 1's and 0's people......it's not supposed to be pretty! :x

....let's see what have I left out........oh yeah

GO MAKE MUSIC...

:phew:, that was a close one!

In one word : no. :hihi:

Disregarding the question with obvious right answer, sometimes GUI's matter. I was just saying how I felt and some have told me about how they feel about how I feel. I think only one person has posted about liking the GUI. That's fine. I know it's subjective. I just didn't know you all cared more about how I felt about it than expressing your own opinion about the GUI. Unless your opinion is that you don't care, because it doesn't affect the sound. That's fine too and wraps up all I have on the matter.

Regarding the sound. I still need to put it head-to-head with my Duende bus comp and the DBX model in my McDSP 6030 Ultimate Compressor. I don't really care to run it against other demos like The Glue, Waves, etc. since I'm not really in market for them because of cost (read: overextended). I need to make a decision about buying this at my intro price of about $65, based on it's own merits in relation to what I already have, and before the price goes up. I will say that so far I like the sound a lot.

Now that I think about it, I always buy beautiful looking guitars, even if they don't sound so good. :hihi:

Don't be so naive. That is STILL a wonderful GUI

The guys from PSP making great stuff, so I expect a additional option to other Bus compressors.
The Glue is a very transparent compressor and this is great and some point why people love the Glue. But sometimes people need the opposite.

Afaik there is a introductory offer this time so it's not expensive.

I'm interested in the comparison with the 6030.
Thanks in advance.
