Ok. Maybe I can give that a try later on. I haven't actually had a chance to muck about with it today.

I've re-downloaded everything as well, so I'll have plenty of things to try. :)

Thanks for the great deal esoundz/IKMM peeps. I may be having a few teething problems but all in all, this is a super deal! :tu:
Aloysius, did you solve the problem?
I noticed the same. Samplemoog freezing for a few seconds when loading parent or child patches. When loading combis that's even worse.
I use Sampletank free anyway, where I load SS2, Samplemoog and all my Xpansion libraries, it loads everything pretty fast. ST free is buggy on the preanalysis for the stretch engine though.. it gets stuck everytime.
Really looking forward to ST3!

Xenobt, you gave lots of Xpansion Tank infos on KVR about overlapping between different libraries, really helped me a lot when I had to choose. I referred your name for the Krazy Deal.

I passed on this one as I already have a lot of synths that can do great Moogs, but I'm hoping next month SampleTron is on special. And I'm really hoping ST3 has a free version to make the most of these libraries.

I purchased the eSoundz deal on Friday and I've had trouble installing both SampleMoog and SampleTank Free in Win 7. The installs never seem to complete and no icons or start menu items are created.

I created shortcuts myself and the programs seem to run, but I don't seem to have all the patches that should be there. No combis load at all. 'Says it can't find a patch. Not sure what the problem is.

When I did have them installed, I found that the programs were just too hard to use because on 22" monitors at max resolution, it was impossible to see anything, as others have mentioned. It's just way too small. But still, I bought it; I'd like to get it successfully installed and try to see if it's useful to me. Anyone have any ideas about this? Does anyone have these programs running in Win 7?

Separate question: Has anyone ever seen or heard any of the virtual Minimoog plugins do a credible version of David Sancious' signature sound? There've been many patches that emulate signature sounds, but I've never heard of one acknowledging Sancious. I'd like to find one (or more), if possible. Thanks.

EDIT: I got the patches/combis thing straightened out. I had the program looking at the SampleTank Free version of the SampleMoog library. After poking around the FAQs, I think I have a feel for the structure of the IK libraries now.

Indeed, combis are very slow to load.
