For additional 2500 dollars you can buy preset "Ultra Pro" which makes sound even 257,3 % better and is guaranteed to make chart topper.
what synths does the pro use like armin v , tiesto, pvd, atb, ? does anybody know?

But admit it, you're in doubt. And really, you should. It is in fact a multi tier system where, as you develope your skills and professional network and success, you gain access to more professional tools.Herakhless wrote:yes it is big commercial business music but Im sure this is just jokeGamma-UT wrote:Deadly serious. The reason for this is obvious, it is the only way the pro's can maintain in business. Why did you think it's so hard to make a living out of music?

I dont listen to Tiesto ( or how ever it is written, I dont care), Armin Buuren or others mentioned in this thread. They have good sounds and mixes. But so what. So do many other people who are famous or not.
I think there are much better musicians and synth and trance music makers who make astounding, brilliant, awesome, stunning tracks which have marvelous mixes and fantastic sound designing. Some of these guys are actually living with the music they make. Some cannot afford to quit the day job.
edit. as said before in this thread, it is not synth or effect or daw which makes good stuff. It is someone who knows what he or she is doing.
Some mixer, I dont remember who, said he could make a better mix with c-cassette four tracker than beginner with a million dollar studio.

Armin uses the Logic synths and hardware. I believe he's stated he likes the bass in Andromeda. Tiesto makes his own presets and he's a master at it. You can buy the high dollar stuff, and it may make your stuff LOUDER, but it's not what you got. It's what you do with it.

Has he sold patch collections. I would think a pack of "50 Tïesto patches for Massive or Sylenth, Dune etc", would sell a bit?osiris wrote:Armin uses the Logic synths and hardware. Not my type of music but I always like to read articles about the history of individual artists and bands, their techniques, process of production and their take on music in general.
This may help if it hasn't already been posted:

That is a really good article
"I was a little bit in doubt about whether I should give you pictures of my new studio, because people will think 'He's got a V-Synth! He's got... He's got... I need to buy that!' No, you don't need to buy it..."

No, but I buy some Tiesto patches. I know Armin made some for ElectaX.

Back to the "which" synths question, how can you possibly go wrong with Zebra?
It's ideal today and tomorrow who knows Urs is always working on something.
What I always used to do was listen to presets banks available for synths to get an idea of how it sounds doing what. I used to listen to AdamSzabo's stuff a lot and in the end I realised many sound great it's just about the programming.
I think Zebra or Massive and you're good to go.
If Armin reckons 95% of synths can be done in Logics synth I expect 98% can be done in Zebra and it will probably sound 74.39321% better.
Pluging in the Sausage fattener will likely increase the betterness by at least 54.214% if not exponentially.
The hardware is even better but as you saw from the video it still has structural integrity issues.
EDIT- Somehow I feel like we've been here before...

Any of the top rated synths can make such a wide range of sounds nowadays that all you need to do is pick your favourite and start sculpting.

everyone was right not about the synths, its the melodies, arrangement and composition structure just like the classic PPK resurrection by using raw sine wave for the lead melody and every synth have sine wave. so name any PRO that using free vst synth like synth1, tyrell, firebird, tforce alpha? maybe for the beginner like me

Yeah, I think a Tiesto soundbank for any VST would be a bestseller. I do know Armin has stated he uses the ES2 in Logic because it can basically do any kind of sound he can think of. I also believe he did some presets for Gladiator because I think Bastiaan knows him and some patches are labeled with maker presets AVB.
