Okay, I tried to follow the thread but I got lost. What the heck is Beat Workzone? I can't find any info on it online. I just saw the coupon codes for Lector and wanted to try and get a sweet deal on their vocoder. Do I need to purchase an online magazine to obtain coupons then? Any info would be awesome. Thanks.

Finally got the mag in the mail yesterday, it took three weeks from ordering until it arrived in Norway.
This is what is inluded in the synth folder, I just noted the dates when the file was created as there has been some discussion about the version of the software included earlier in the thread:
Beat Zampler with 1,54 GB library
z3taDXi153.exe (Jan 12, 2012)
DUNE Setup.exe (Nov 9, 2011)
DUNE_LE.dmg (Nov 9, 2011)
Geist_Lite_1_1_0_3.dmg (Mar 31, 2012)
Geist_Lite_1_1_0_3.exe (Mar 31, 2012)
Komplete_8_Players_100.exe (May 24, 2012)
Komplete_8_Players_100.iso (May 24, 2012)
nuklear_1_1_3_mac_installer.zip (April 1, 2012)
nuklear_1_1_3_windows_installer.zip (April 1, 2012)
Phantom.dll (Mar 21, 2011)
Plex.dll/Plex64.dll (Dec 21, 2011)
Tone2_FireBird_plus_v1.11_full_setup.exe (Jan 2, 2012)
Bazille05Mac.zip (Jan 3, 2012)
Bazille05Win.zip (Jan 3, 2012)
TyrellN6V2Win.zip (Mar 14, 2012)
TyrellN6V2Mac.zip (Mar 20, 2012)
WaldorfEditionLE-mac.zip (Dec 13, 2011)
WaldorfEditionLE-windows32bit.zip (Dec 8, 2011)
WaldorfEditionLE-windows64bit.zip (Dec 8, 2011)
xils3_beat_osx_setup_V108.dmg (May 9, 2012)
xils3_beat_win_setup_V108.exe (May 9, 2012)
Cool thing is that the Beat Zampler library is 6 times as big as the file one can download from their site!
Also interesting that Komplete Players 8 comes as one iso file (2,5 GB), as NI offer only separate downloads from their own site.

The 30% sale prices should be their normal prices, and even then they are still just a little expensive... (140 Euros for Largo and 120 Euros for PPG 3). Even the other dinosaurs (with no negative meaning only) Arturia have already adapted to the new world economy by lowering their prices permanently...

None of the plugins in the download works in any of 5 hosts I've tried here on Win XP 32 SP3, just immediate crash. (error code: access violation in the dll)

I think it might have to do with the serial number input. I tried first in ableton and it crashed immediately. Then i tried in s1v2 and attack and ppg opened fine and I could input the serial. Then when I went back to ableton later attack opened up and worked fine

Probably. When I first opened it the GUI was all grayed out, I had to close and open again to actually see anything, after entering the number it was allright. So maybe try 6th host, like wavosaur maybe?

I hear you there. Waldorf Largo $250? Seriously? Who in the world would possibly consider that over the tons of incredible synths much less than that. I was very close to purchasing Lector at a 25% discount, but after playing with Prosoniq's Orange vocoder, I decided not to. Considering the fact that it's about 100 Euros less than the Lector, it made it a much easier decision.ZINO wrote:The 30% sale prices should be their normal prices, and even then they are still just a little expensive... EDIT: Fixed the non-starting issues by installing 2005, 2008 and 2010 Visual C++ runtimes packages from Microsoft.

Strange that a renowned company like Waldorf would rely on the installation of other 3rd party packages and also not informing about it..

Got the installer from the download. No odds of me getting Beat here.
FL Studio is having problems with keys sticking or missing at random through MIDI playback, and the VST won't recognize any other MIDI channel than 1 sent thru FL Studio.
Using FL Studio 10.0.9.
Also, Win 7 64, AMD Phenom II X555 Black, 4 gig RAM.

Load up the VST, when in the Fruity wrapper click the icon for Wrapping Settings (in top left corner), then select Processing, and there make sure "Use fixed size buffers" is selected.
