Well, then the Cakewalk synth bundle with Z3TA+2 + Dimension Pro + Rapture should fit the bill wellhimalaya wrote:Z3ta's "Waveshaping" and 'New Age' does not go well together, I'd have thought. It can definitely add some nice texture but alone it's not enough. Z3ta plus a good sample based instrument would be a great combination, but not alone. This goes for a lot of the recommended synths here.

I have to agree, for $100 that is a steal!

HI, everybody!rm1232002 wrote:My main genre is New Age and I have $100 to spend on a soft synth.I have listed what I've found till now below but I'm not sure which one is more suitable for my needs:
SynthMaster 2.5 ( %30 OFF )
Tassman 4 ($250 OFF)
Zeta+ 2
Could you please suggest some synths which are most suitable for this genre and cost around $100 ?
Thanks in advance!

Excellent suggestions; Given your cost parameter, I'll throw my hat in the ring for FAW's Circle.
It's a CRAZY piece of software, because you can add a ton of your own waveforms to it, blowing it's sonic capabilities through the roof.
Check out this stuff:
http://www.galbanum.com/products/archit ... forms2010/
These waves can be bulk-converted into the format that Circle reads with FAW's free tool (downloadable); installed: Each converted wave gives you a 'visual' of itself as you scroll through the waveform selection menu-the whole deal is pretty darn slick; and Circle sounds GOOD.
I converted several thousand waves for use in Circle; it will be a long, long, time before I get bored with it.
Question: Future plans? Are you *stopping* at a $100 investment, or just *starting* your audio software collection?
I own a lot of licenses; for me: it is GREAT having a variety of sound tools to choose from! And I'm helping to support some really good and talented people to boot!
OK, if you can push it financially:

A masterpiece, IMO. Does everything.

Since new age is also one of my favorite genres to create, I cannot help but suggest PRIZM. I have it on a pretty good sale right now for $45 for 5 licenses and it comes with a massive 16GB library. It utilizes the Wusik engine which allows for sound morphing and all kinds of killer editing features.
PRIZM is all about Atmospheric sounds - soundscapes, textures and more. For new age music, it's perfect!
Check out its library features here:

Shot in the dark here but you might as well try Fab Filter Twin 2. It has 1600 presets and many are suitable for New Age. It may not be the first thing that comes to mind, but I'm selling my license for $85 so if you like it, you can have it and have $15 left over.rm1232002 wrote:My main genre is New Age and I have $100 to spend on a soft synth.I have listed what I've found till now below but I'm not sure which one is more suitable for my needs:

lol.. you you guys have named like every synth in the world!
here's my recommendation, if you consider yourself to be quite adept I the world of synthesis, consider getting synthmaster. It's fantastic, but you need to know what you're doing.
If you're more intermediate: I'd say save up and get massive. I see people hate on this synth, but I think it's because they suck at making music or something. It's great.
