I bought the isem and think it sounds awesome, but to me the midi implementation is unreliable. Some times I can't connect to a midi sequencer (steppolyarp, genome) and have to restart the synth and sequencer. The timing of midi notes is also off sometimes. To my ear it sounds like a kind of latency. When I experience these things, I always immediately open up another synth to see whether it's the sequencer or whether it's the isem. Every time I've done this (and I've done it many times) the other synth works fine. Posted a query on arturia's forum and no one responded.

Thanks for the info! I took the plunge and it works on my iPad 1 as well. I have background audio turned off and haven't tried anything like sequencing it using virtual midi, but as a sound source it's awesome. I can't really use AudioBus anyway on this old thing so I don't miss that. I will just record right into Reaper as with Animoog, etc.

Great sounding synth, but I can't get it to work with ChordPolyPad. I can see iSEM in the list of options for MIDI out and got background audio on. Using IOS7 on an iPad Air 128GB. Any ideas?

In iSEM set midi in to chord poly pad

In chord poly pad set midi out to chord poly pad midi midi out (not iSEM)

That should do it.
