Tempting, tempting.
Will it see an x64 and Mac port at some point? Now that it's being revived?
Would you like 90's Rompler sound? or do you know Ravity?

Why not, if I may ask?
Was the code lost and mean a complete rewrite?

Curious... I'm having exactly the same appearance of the page in Firefox (the image below) and in IE.
My Firefox is Cyberfox 28.0.

And I've never seen any coupon, anywhere...

It was for those who participated in the testing previous to the relaunch of Ravity.BlackWinny wrote:And I've never seen any coupon, anywhere...

I am curious why it can't be upgraded to 64-bit and also have Mac versions, unless maybe it was originally made using SynthEdit?

This plug doesn't need more than 4GB of RAM to run properly.Examigan wrote:I am curious why it can't be upgraded to 64-bit and also have Mac versions, unless maybe it was originally made using SynthEdit?
If you are in need of 64 bit romplers, there should be enough options already.

Yes but I'm just wondering why it can't programmed for 64-bit OSs. I actually have a Windows 7 32-bit based PC, so it's no problem, but many others these days have 64-bit OS and complain about having to use bridging, etc.Numanoid wrote:This plug doesn't need more than 4GB of RAM to run properly.Examigan wrote:I am curious why it can't be upgraded to 64-bit and also have Mac versions, unless maybe it was originally made using SynthEdit?

I like it so far, but one thing I noticed after using it a few days is when I close out of Sonar X3, it has an error message "ravity(S).con file can't be accessed".
When I close that message, 2 others popup that are similar. It runs ok so far with Windows 7 32-bit, just that those messages popup when closing out of it.
Then I tried running Sonar as an Admin (right-click Run as...) and loaded up the same project, then closed out, there are no errors.

If I remember correctly the person who coded the Luxonix plugins has left the company to work in an unrelated field. The people who do the sampling work for Luxonix are still there that's why they have been releasing new sample content and recently began operating under a new name. I've been working behind the scenes to try and find a developer who would be interested in taking on their plugins and updating or even expanding them but so far no luck. I actually have a 64 bit beta of Purity installed but discovered a pretty serious bug rather early on but with no one working on the code there is no hope for a fix at this time. I'm still hopeful that Ravity and Purity can at some point be updated or upgraded.Examigan wrote:Yes but I'm just wondering why it can't programmed for 64-bit OSs..
I too still have a 32 bit system but my main studio computer is 64 bit so I'd be very interested in using the Luxonix plugins without a bridge. They are both highly under rated in my opinion........

I think they re-released it because they found that there was a demand for it still, from those who use 32 bit plugs.Examigan wrote:Yes but I'm just wondering why it can't programmed for 64-bit OSs. With the coupon it cost me less than 20 dollars to buy, even though they do not update it further I expect to have at least a couple of years mileage out of it until either Windows 7 get outdated or the DAWs no longer will accept older plugs.

As long as there is no drop of a host internal wrapper and/or prohibition of using third party wrappers from host side, I think it will even work farther than Win7/8.
But my hopes are still for a native version.
Either way... Teksonik is right - such old synths are definitely underrated. With ton of overproduced samples these days, there sure is a lack for essential "bread and butter" stuff to fill the holes in the sound. Which is the very reason I kept my Yamaha DB50XG/MU-15.

What are the advantages of using Ravity 16?:
"You can load up to 16 modules of Ravity S/R within Ravity 16, with independent channel mute/solo controls."

I mean in a regular DAW, I can load as many channels I want with different instances of Ravity S
