I'm actually researching this as well after discovering that there is no end user friendly way to export Ableton .adg (instrument rack) files.
From what I've tried, the TX16wx is a really nice option. TX has a great set of features for exporting in fact, even allowing the free version to load banks from the pro version with no limits.

I was thinking about mentioning TX16Wx
But after installing it recently, it doesn't even show up in FL Studio 12.

IMO Shortcircuit is the best free sample player out there hands down, but it is only 32 bit unfortunately

Hm. Well the point was, it was not to be user-editable. Synthedit looks like an alternative here. Short Circuit's good, but it's not quite an option because of that. Those samples took a lot of work and expenses, so they'd rather not be used-up by anyone who didn't pay for them.
