Look I have never played with VAZ but I would be willing to place money that they use static wave oscillators if they are low cpu.

Throw is the low cost and the fact that it takes up no space outside of your keyboard and your PC and I will never go back to an analog studio again.
Though I still prefer tubes (I'm a guitarist  ), I'm with you. My whole "studio" fits on my smallish desk in a corner of my front room. In the end, hardware/software - who cares? Whatever suits, go for it and have fun.
ps I started in '68 (shush!) And I prefer cars to horses... :)

Using: Cubase Pro 15, Reason 13, Tascam US-4x4HR, MODX6, DM12D, LaunchKey 49, Yamaha guitar(Pacifica 612v) and bass (BB234) and some virtual instruments and synths.

The only comment I can make is that I've been too busy making music with Diva to notice whether or not it sounds good to someone else. :D

So yeah, let's stop it :)

Pffff. Can't stop this.
You have to test yourself every day, gentlemen. Once you stop testin' yourself, you get slow. And when that happens, they kill you.

Yet here you are carrying on that same argument........
Dasheesh wrote:Diva is the closest equivalent sound quality wise that I've heard to hardware. Bazille is the closest feature wise to analog that I've heard. Still, these are not hardware.
And once again the MYTH that hardware is superior to software is perpetuated......

Yea you should follow your own advice.............

Hive is different in that it has some real modeling in it. It's a hybrid. That's what sets it apart.
Does Hive "model" anything? Afaik it's doesn't have any real word prototype, it just uses a general concept of VA/Supersaw.

Discontinue use if rash or irritation develops.

Take TAL's U-NO-LX. It sounds pretty good, but as long as Patrick sticks to the original, it only goes so far. He should have invested all that time and energy into turning NoizeMaker - an original TAL concept - into a top-notch synth instead.
On the one hand, you have a top-notch emulation of a well known, beloved hardware synth used on countless productions.

On the other hand, you have yet another 'top-notch' synth with yet another name/GUI.

Guess which one sells better?

Never forget that those synths aren't produced for fun but for a living.

Oh really?
How do you explain synths like Audjoo Helix then? That thing sounds incredibly analog and uses very little CPU.
Helix may sound incredibly analog (whatever that means), but it surely does not play in the same league as Diva.
