here's a link to scribbler, phz, vst notepad:
http://phz.panicnow.net/
Just so you know, to load it in Orion, I had to place it directly in the Orion VST folder, which is odd, so I don't know if there's a problem with how it's read in a different folder. Once I took it out of the sub-folder, it loaded fine in O plat & eXT.
Decent little note pad, could use more space for text, but you have at least 10 lines.
cheers

How about support for different time signatures?
Or have I missed something in the last few updates (been too busy to actually make music for a couple of months now
)?

first of all: wow - one sequencer that works in all apps - and even better: I have a sequencer that is tightly synced to buzz (at least playback wise). My first attempts at using Energy has been to record my live electronics / homemade synth experiments through buzz effects. I encountered a bug, and have some big wishes for you so here goes:
Energy XT sequencer - ohm's first impressions:
recording
I'd love to see punch in / out recording - it should work just like setting loop-points exept you'd be holding down CTRL
the punch in/out could be indicated with a thin red line just below the loop indicator
syncing to the host
I've had problems syncing recordings to my host (buzz)
the playback head syncs correctly but recordings are always started in position 0
editing audio
a split part tool is an essential tool
the start point / end point editing is difficult to use because the recording has to be re-alligned after editing the start point of the part
also I'd love to be able to crop the wave file to get rid of unused samples and free HD space - but this would not be needed with the "split part" tool
nice2have
I love the way Kristal Audio Engine draws waveforms, nice, big, mono, outlined
also check out http://www.comparisonics.com/ for a sexy coloured waveform display I use a similar technique in my buzz gen. live slice at http://ohm.objectis.net/instruments/live_slice/)
I also dig the way each audio part is born with a volume envelope and two drag-boxes for editing fade in and out as well as cropping the part - without going to "edit mode"

hello all,
I am new to EnergyXT, so my request may sound
a little amateurish.
I would like to be able to use my Cubase midi fx
as well as midi fx that follow the cakewalk MFX
protocol of which there many. Now with the emergence
of mfxscript this will be even more important.
Some MFX third party plugins:

This would be very nice!Amberience wrote:A tracker component similar to Fasttracker or Octamed.
This is actually not the same! I'd like to be at my samples folder when i insert a sample.Amberience wrote:See the hints and tips sticky for a similar thing.timewastin wrote:Ability to set up several project paths (sample folder, recorded waves folder, saved projects folder) and eXT will automatically select them.
For example, right-clicking on an audio part or track will force eXT to open the open dialog in d:\samples\.
If you press the sequencer's record button, the recorded wave will be saved to d:\samples\record.
If you press the open button, eXT will browse d:\tracks\.
Another request:
Timestretching abilities without detuning. When you double-click on a sample to edit it, the could be sliders for time AND for pitch (in 1/100 notes).
This would make loop-based production easier and could convince some of the ACID-using producers to switch to energyXT.
And, while it is possible to resize the end of a sample in the sequencer quite nicely, it would be nice to be able to do the same for the beginning of a sample. Double-clicking on it and using the start and end markers isn't very precise.

time-stretching as well as beat-slicing is already ontimewastin wrote: Another request:

suggestion:
I'd love to be able to set a *different skin* for the VST versions vs. the standalone. That way, when I place eXT as a VST within eXT standalone, it's *really* easy to discern the difference.
What'cha think?

Have a look at this thread...a few users already figured out how to manage that. It would be a cool option.ModuLR wrote:suggestion:

Renaming of ghosted parts
If I change notes or the colour of a part the ghosts follow. But that's not the case when I rename one ghost. I need that!
Piano roll in midi-parts
If I double-click a part in a midi track I get all the features to manipulate the data - but it's hard to find the position where the played notes reside. A piano roll would fix that
