Sorry, but when you post, and bring your grievances to a public forum, you don't get to tell others what to post, what not to post, or what opinion they should have.
I have no "bias" at all in this - I came into this thread to discuss Fairlight and Synclavier sounds, and a quite cool thread has unfortunately been derailed somewhat with your posts.
It sounds like you're on your way to resolving whatever issue you have, so presumably that will be the end of the matter, and we can get back to discussing these cool sampler libraries...

Probably focusing on you because you made this thread about you and the developer... and yeah, you did tell Beely to "keep [his] oar out."dark water wrote:I didn't tell you what to post, or not to post. Again you're having difficulty actually reading what I actually stated in my post: your provocative posts about ''abuse'', ''vague accusations'' and ''name-calling'' are entirely aimed at me and they are just making me reply and defend myself. Conversely, if you had not attacked me with your one-sided posts, we would have contained ourselves with what I and Patrick wrote on the last page. But your involvement has prolonged the unhappy situation for both Patrick and I, because I now need to defend myself against your comments. You're a fine one going on about derailing threads, when to all extents and purposes Patrick and I were finished on the last page and were moving towards an amicable resolution, only for you to stick your oar in.
I am also entirely entitled to give my opinion about a company or developer of Fairlight sounds in this thread, and to say how I have found them to be.
If you really came into this thread to discuss Fairlight and Synclavier sounds, why not talk about those rather than trying to attack me?
Sounds more like a Dropbox issue more than a developer issue, and its amazing that he was willing to refund you after you successfully bought and installed back in March. That's amazing customer service because most would not have done that for you. I doubt even PayPal would have sided with you for a product you received and used.
Hopefully a mod can come back and wipe all this garbage out, because it truly has nothing to do with the topic, but it is a technical issue and even possibly user error.

Seriously, if you stop commenting on all the people commenting about your posts... Uh yeah, maybe you get it?dark water wrote:Again, someone else is now jumping in. And so, I reply...
This could not have been dealt with privately, because I tried to take that route and was ignored in emails, KVR private message and indeed on page one of this thread.
Patrick was not willing to refund me. Hence, Paypal and this conversation on page 2. It is not ''amazing customer service'' because it should never have come to this point. The refund has only happened BECAUSE of my pursuit in Paypal and on KVR. Prior to me having to do that, Patrick stated that a refund was impossible.
Secondly, I have BOUGHT the same library twice, because the developer went back on his word for working links to the updated library.
Why should I, or indeed anyone, have to spend the same money twice when it was stated in email that we would be offered links to library updates?
Seriously, if you stop commenting on my posts and making me defend myself, then we will move on because this matter was resolved amicably enough on page 3.
I (don't) look forward to having to copy and paste this to the next person who fails to understand the situation, and I doubt Patrick does either.
I doubt it though because you seem angered that people don't take your side of it. So much so that you think copying and pasting the same info will change anything. Does that help you in real life? Do you honestly believe it will help you here, as if that's the reason I don't agree with your take on this?
The whole public vs private thing is a moot point considering it is now public. And just like anyone can comment on my posts, they can do the same with yours. Maybe this can be your "eureka" moment and maybe you can understand that other people really do exist.

If it was actually dealt with, and done so amicably, then how is the "situation (that again you said was dealt with)" being antagonized?dark water wrote:You do realize that this was actually dealt with on page 3 in a reasonably amicable way by me and Patrick, hence the 'thanks' in our posts?
So why do you and beely keep on trying to antagonize the situation?
Are you sure that's the issue you are having? Or could it be that whole other people existing thing again. That must really suck for you.

ok I'm not going to go clean up the posts, it was resolved which is beneficial for the developer to show he was willing to resolve it. There is however no reason to continue this so please drop it all around because from here I will delete posts about Dark Water's "issue"...ty
