Well, actually, in the wider world where we dont rewrite history according to the chk071-dictionary, they did, and are widely acknowledged for it.
how is that a strawman, then?

do you actually know what a strawman is?

where exactly in that quote (where Im specifially repying to the thing you said) am I replying to a thing that Im merely pretending you said that wasnt said?
So, the Beatles made electronic music.
yes, they did.
Even though they didn't.
except they did.
Unless a drum kit is electronic now, or a guitar, or a bass, or a human voice.
Are you claiming that you cant ever do music that is electronic if you've ever used a drum kit or a guitar or a bass or a human vouice?
It's irrelevant that they made use of electronic instruments, or other tech at some point, they're still mainly using physical instruments.
How is it irrelevant what they used 'at some point' if they actually did some electronic music at some other point?
Or whatever you want to call it in English, i don't know.
You certainly dont know something.

Do you think 'they did do electronic music' means the same thing as 'they were an electronic music act'?

Do you think 'they did do electronic music' means the same thing as 'they only did electronic music' ?

Do you think 'they did do electronic music' means the same thing as 'they made one or more tracks which were electronic music ' ?

chk071 wrote: Fri Aug 09, 2019 2:05 pm Sure... but... Beatles are no electronic music act... just like any band with a keyboarder in it isn't a electronic music act.
Doesnt matter whether they were 'an electronic music act', they dont have to be an electronic music act to do electronic music tracks.
Well... maybe i'm wrong. Could you post a Youtube video from a typical Beatles eletronic music track?
Yes I could, but since I gave you the names of two of them already, I dont really need to, Im sure you can use YT's search function.

prediction : no matter what's posted, you'll deny its 'typical' or 'electronic' or 'music' or a 'track', or all of the above.

and once again you'll insist that your personal usage of any of these words trumps the real world dictionary meanings that everyone else uses.

the pattern is that he's going to insist that 'electronic music' is 'edm' to him, and he doesnt think it counts when its applied to anything that's not 'edm', so he's right.

Well, I'd like to suggest it could actually be used by a band who might have 'physical instruments', but.... :scared:

if you're just starting out, any of the lite daw versions available can get you started no problems.
or if you're more used to a linear environment it can be interesting to try a different perspective, without the cost of a full version.

willingness to work within limitations seems to be the main issue, i can see why some would choose not to, but for anyone who has that mindset, it's just another tool in the box :)

Probably. And probably because it isn't electronic music at all.

Would you say this is rock?

The guy has this typical soft rock guitar in almost any of his tracks (don't even know whether it's a real guitar or not...).

Anyway, the thing is, we're arguing about interpretation here, and you, in your typical manner, argue as if the person you argue with is totally retarded, and that's actually the thing i take offense with. Even when it's the internet, i'd expect at least a bit of adult attitude from a... adult. Unless you want to be like those trolls which don't get love from their mother, and have to make up for it on the net. So, pulease. I know it's asked much, but, at least try to act like a human being sometimes. Then you won't get into arguments all the time as well. A nice side effect, you will see. You know, i'm not your enemy or something. And this is not a warzone.
