Did he give a date for release? I just installed the latest Sonic Sweet plugins dated September 14 2021 and don't see any change in the GUI sizes.cprompt wrote: Tue Dec 14, 2021 12:27 pm More from Eric:
...both Sonic Sweet V4 and the BBE Stomp Board have been fully upgraded to our new framework which means that they now have Retina ready GUIs, bug fixes and many improved features....
So I guess they're getting there slowly.
As for Magma I know Dmitry Sches was working on bug fixes for it but that was in 2016 and I haven't heard anything from him since then on the subject so am not sure he's still involved.
Dmitry was working closely with Nomad before Bernie's death.
I welcome any updates to the NF lineup. Most of them are great plugins that just need a refresh.

I may look at them again when the challenge/response system is removed.

Is it causing any troubles at the moment? I read some negative comments about it, but couldn't wrap my head around it. How does it differ from typical serial number input in the correct window?rasmusklump wrote: Tue Dec 14, 2021 1:35 pm I may look at them again when the challenge/response system is removed.

I pulled the trigger on a bundle when I got that recent email. I've been worried that Nomad was being abandoned, but the promise that they are still working on things is enough for me to give them a shot at the discount prices. More than retina display and modern features, I just want to make sure the plugins have bug and OS support moving forward and won't be abandoned. I can't use the Analog Studio Rack because I don't trust it from bugs that have been known for many years.

Do you mean bugs like: everything getting slower, when "Show Stereo Width" in the Exciter is switched on? OR Plugin crashing, when Global Presets are loaded?jochicago wrote: Tue Dec 14, 2021 4:07 pm I pulled the trigger on a bundle when I got that recent email. I just installed and authorized the Integral Studio Pack on this system today with no issues. Bernie passed away in early 2016 and nothing has been lost.michal.ochedowski wrote: Tue Dec 14, 2021 3:47 pmIs it causing any troubles at the moment? You simply run the Authorizer.exe, enter your serial number and email address and that's it.
I wouldn't worry about it......

For me the meters in the plugins are funky, and seem to jitter and lose track randomly, which is a well known bug that has been described on boards for years. But the reason I stopped using it was that the SSL bus compressor would on occasion sound funky like jittery, and that's just not right. It's one thing that the display acts weird, but if the sound is compromised, what are we doing.

I totally get the jittery meters bug. Seen it myself. I also read about it on one forum, so wasn't that surprised. Well maybe just a little about the fact, that it still hasn't been fixed.jochicago wrote: Wed Dec 15, 2021 7:14 am For me the meters in the plugins are funky, and seem to jitter and lose track randomly, which is a well known bug that has been described on boards for years. Thanks for the info about compromised sound. All these pieces of information help me make a better informed decision. I haven't even checked, if these plugins alias or eqs are cramping. Based on the release year in the "About" section (2015) I'm almost sure none of these issues have been addressed.
Bare in mind I'm not hating on the developer. Only trying to keep it real, however cliche it may sound.

The only one I'm having issues with is ironically the most recent using the new activation system (80s Spaces). Just downloaded the newest install and it refuses to activate saying 'all seats are already in use'. I can only presume it's counting my old laptop install, my current machine when it ran Win 10 and now Win 11 as separate entities - though even so it says 3 machines can be activated with the same challenge-response so I'm not sure what's gone wrong here. Dropped a ticket request (and to be honest I only grabbed it in a massive sale, barely use it at all)michal.ochedowski wrote: Tue Dec 14, 2021 3:47 pmIs it causing any troubles at the moment? If you find the time, please let us know how did it go with support. These licensing systems require multiple notes about what is activated and where, or a good memory. They can be a real pain to follow. Does current NF authorization let you remove the license for specific machine or are you stuck with the unnecessary slot taken by older OS?mcbpete wrote: Wed Dec 15, 2021 9:25 amThe only one I'm having issues with is ironically the most recent using the new activation system (80s Spaces). I've been using and installing NF bundles for years. Had them installed in machines since Windows XP time. Never had any problems regarding authorization. It doesn't seem they have any authorization counter limit, as far as I'm concerned. They just keep track of authorizations, but that's pretty much it, I guess.michal.ochedowski wrote: Wed Dec 15, 2021 9:42 am If you find the time, please let us know how did it go with support. I had a search through both the NomadFactory and Plugivery site (the site itself and my accounts page) to see if I could manually remove 'older' activations but couldn't find anything.michal.ochedowski wrote: Wed Dec 15, 2021 9:42 am Does current NF authorization let you remove the license for specific machine or are you stuck with the unnecessary slot taken by older OS?
As I say, this just seems to have been an issue with 80s Spaces. Everything else I've used the same activation since Windows 7, 8 , 8.1, 10 (all builds) on my old laptop and 10 & 11 on my new one
