That doesn’t mean Bitwig isn’t the real. You can do so much in Bitwig without playing loops.

But, back on topic, iPad apps are amazing. I love them.

But why has <Bitwig/Reaper - circle appropriate choice> even been mentioned in a thread about iPads?

i wonder, i mean he could have gone multitrackdaw and been on point.

Hey guys - edited my post. Seems to me there was an implicit comparison between iPad apps and the desktop/laptop status quo. Not disagreeing with the spirit of the thread that iPad apps are the real. As someone who thinks so, and someone who recently got onto Bitwig, I think Bitwig is the real in the very similar sense, which is how I use them to make music.

Not trying to get into some argument, as I don’t disagree with the spirit of the thread at all. And I won’t be further addressing any of the other responses besides what I’ve said here.

Peace.

iPad is a little lacking in the fully featured DAW department, for sure.

Cubasis is probably the best, but it’s expensive and the built-in instruments are terrible - you end up spending a fortune if you get all the IAPs. Also they have no upgrade option, so you end up buying it outright again each time they release a new version.

you're welcome here perpetual, just didn't want it veer into a bitwig thread. it'd be nice if we could stick to ipad talk.

Gotcha, Dasheesh.

Looks interesting. When I get spare time I'll see whether it will work with my system. *thumbs up*

I did it once, but no one cared...they were all too busy listening to something someone did in Cubase on an Atari ST...

Awwww, I want an Atari ST way more than I want an iPad.
There’s an app for that...

seems win10 don't like studiomux lol... at least downloading the .exe file lol had to force it to nab the file but after scanning there is no prob with it. probably the same reason as it said NOT to install the itunes from windows store lol

anyways i will check it out.

as for cubasis they pissed me off. they upgraded from v1 to v2 free of charge but now with v3 they claim it is a completely rewritten software (my ass) and want to charge FULL price again. so not good in my opinion... if they knew who owned v1 and allowed v2 upgrade they could easily offered an upgrade charge for previous version owners but they didn't so i will be sticking with v2 since v3 only gives you groups and bussing i think. heck i can record into v2 if needed then just transfer over wave files (stems) to my desk if need be. i am not gonna play their game of money grabbing. i will say i like cubasis for what it is and it is one of the better DAWS for the ipad and if you don't own it already it is worth the purchase... but for those that already own it... not worth the upgrade pricing imo

cheers
