Same here. First it kept saying "You need to provide a serial for the product you want to upgrade", now the entire my.presonus.com site throws a 503 error

Funny how they spend so much on a flashy promo video that they couldn't afford to upgrade that dusty old 486 in the closet that's hosting the site

Not surprised this is looking like it's a popular release for them and the site is slammed. They've clearly been paying attention to their feature request list and banging out the top voted items. Amazing what some transparency and listening to your customers can do. Stienberg could learn from that.

Yeah, I kept asking for this years ago when I just had Artist, but I gave up waiting and upgraded to Studio One 4 last year. Typical.

Nice for those who do not need all the features of Pro though.

To be fair, if they continue with their perpetual license scheme, every 2 years a new version, then that'll be basically a subscription model for most people as well.

That's true. But, you can do that anyway. And they won't give up the perpetual licenses anyway.

They haven't given up Splice rent to own either, so all bases are covered. The way it should be IMHO.

Retrospective Record (Audio)

Mistakes happen. The opening notes of a singer’s first perfect performance of the day get missed because the engineer forgot to hit Record, or maybe you just missed the punch-in. Those mistakes can be embarrassing but what happens in Studio One® stays in Studio One, so nobody has to be the wiser. With Retrospective Record, Studio One can capture up to a full minute of audio before you click the record button so your secret’s safe—and so is your recording.

They've been getting slammed since it became available. I'm sure they'll have it sorted out in a few more hours or by tomorrow. I look at it this way: I didn't have Studio One 5 yesterday and survived, so waiting a bit longer won't kill me either.

Just an FYI -- not that I'm actually able to do it yet (still can't reliable access the site) you need to follow a little different procedure to register the upgrade vs. a new product purchase. I got the same error you did, so started looking.

If you have purchased an upgrade for Studio One, you will want to locate the product that you are trying to upgrade in your my.presonus.com account, press the [Upgrade] button, and then enter the product key that you have purchased. Your previous copy of Studio One will be under My Products > Software. The new, upgraded software will then appear in your my.presonus.com account under My Products > Software.

Hope that helps others who will likely run into the same issue.
