Right click in the LFO graphical window and there is a save optionEdSfer wrote: Sat Dec 12, 2020 4:46 pmDoesn't sound like a "weird-ass way" to me, that's the way I do itrevvy wrote: Sat Dec 12, 2020 1:19 pmI was wondering the same and would like to know too.aMUSEd wrote: Sat Dec 12, 2020 11:37 am Is there a particular location where user wavetables and lfo shapes are meant to be placed? (on Mac)
In the Factory folder there are WTs so I added a folder I had DL'd inside. When I tried to access them via the GUI, they weren't immediately visible so I selected 'Add Folder, found the new folder where I'd placed it and bingo, located and usable.
Sure I've done it in some weird-ass way but it worked and was quicker than searching (still no manual, right?)![]()
Except you don't actually have to move your folders anywhere, just point towards them with "Add folder". That way you just add your different folders wherever they are on your disk. I find it a lot more convenient than Hive's way of handling it, because in Hive, if I want to use Serum's WTs, I have to copy Serum's WT folder in Hive's WT folder. In Vital you just indicate where to find them.
On the other hand, I have no clue how it works for LFO shapes, I didn't even find how to save one...
Back to topic, I'd be happy to share some presets I made, but I use a lot of WT's from Serum and Hive, I guess there's no way I can share the presets publicly even for free?

Speaking of the LFO's...
If one is using Loop Point mode, then select a particular point as the start point, then move the point, the start point stays where the point was. Not sure if that is intended behavior or not.
Also the mode name Sustain Envelope should be Release Envelope cause it triggers on note release.
Both the mode names Loop Point and Loop Hold don't really describe what they do. I think both modes should be combined into one mode called Loop and it should have a start and end point option. Then if one selects a point as start, but no end, it will behave the same as current Loop Point mode and if one selects a point as end point without a start point it will behave as current Loop Hold mode does and then one also has the added flexibility to have both start and end points.
It would also be useful to have an Envelope Hold mode where one picks the hold point where it stops and then continues on note release. Or the Envelope Mode could have an option to select a hold point. That would work too.

like: after note-off extend for the period of time (as in "hold") then go to release (?)

Having fun with vital ... because I'm currently thinking about treating myself with a Behringer Arp 2600 clone, I've tried to check out whether Vital can sound analog ... and, hell I'd say it can. here's a little sketch: https://soundcloud.com/p-e-t-e-r-h/osc1 ... mmVS54Kko5.
All sounds from scratch but the Bdr. Used the Bdr preset of the free version and tweeked it a little for more presence.
What I really dig is the t2s capablities. you can here vital say "that is what we" ... the final "want" is missing, because of the 5 per day limit
The sound is not only Vital ... I threw my favourite "master bus" plugins on top of it, MSpectralDynamics, MStereoProcessor, MultraMiximizer...

Imo they are a pile of doggy poo.
Besides I was hoping this thread would be one of FREE wavetables and presets.

How could anybody expect any quality in a high number of wavetables??? The more the better???
To the contrary - the more you get, the more it looks like a nightmare to wade through them to find something usable.
If you have no idea how a sound or spectrum should vary along the index, you might find by accident a table that fits - that „works“ with 100 tables as it would with 1 million and has nothing to do with quality, it would more likely be just a happy accident.
If you have an idea how it should vary, you are faster to create that wavetable yourself. Vital even has an editor for that purpose and if you want a specific variant like a spoken word, Vital does it directly...
That charlesdickens didn‘t create 2500 wavetables within weeks of the release of Vital for Vital is obvious!

Hello everyone!
I released a sound pack for Vital. It's called Tropical Feelings and it's available for 19€ (Intro Offer).
Are there two or three presets in the demo video below you would like to see some "How I made this preset // Sound Design" tutorials?
I'm in the midst of creating a free wavetable pack for Serum and Vital... if you can't wait please look into the free section on my site... there are free packs for Serum and Pigments that also come with custom-wavetables... that can be imported into Vital as well!
Cheers,
Michael

Hey guys, I'm looking for a website that I found few weeks ago but I cannot recall the URL. I think it was a .ru site and the name was something like "presetexchange" or "patchbrowser". It's a modern designed website in dark mode style that hosts user made presets for various VST synths, including Vital, with a preview function built in. Anyone knows the website?
EDIT nevermind, I found it: https://presetshare.com/
