I have used both and Modnetic is different and slightly darker than XT. They are both good but lol I use Ohmboyz more. I even use Replika more than XT. If I go haywire I use XT. If I want darkened lush tape I use Modnetic. Sometimes I just use free Cocoa Delay too.

I haven't used the VST version of modnetic but I have the max4live version since release.mi-os wrote: Mon Nov 30, 2020 9:47 pm Sorry to ask again. Do anybody has both Replika XT and Modnetic? Is Modnetic lighter on CPU? Which sounds better? Thanks in advance
Modnetic is a very good tape delay focused in emulation the roland 201, can be cleaner than a tape delay but it doesn't have additional effects or settings. The max4live version uses more CPU than replika.
Replika XT can do tape delay very very well, but has also very different algorithms as the diffusion one, it has more options for timing/stereo and additional effects.

Most of the time, the native Delay in Live. I have it set up as a send-return rack, with Saturn and a Glue compressor in the wet path, for colour/fatness (louder tails) and ducking (sidechained to the dry signal) respectively.
Always Read the Manual!

ReaDelay and PlexiTape are my go-to delays.
My solo projects:
Hekkräiser (experimental) | MFG38 (electronic/soundtrack) | The Santtu Pesonen Project (metal/prog)

Native FL delay for simple one (Fruity Delay 3). Replika XT for more complex, and sometimes Valhalla SuperMassive and Melda SpectralDelay if I want to experiment and try something else.

I use most of the ones mentioned and synths Valhalla or Soundtoys are probably my go to but I also like AAS Objeq delay which is a bit unique (and currently 60% off)

On Guitars etc I am usually in an Amp sim so would use Helix (Line 6 have some great delays)
