Hey everyone.
So, all in all after using this app for a few months, it is mostly really great. A lot of the posts here remind me of a facebook group which is called "audio hertz" which shows the absurdity of all the whiners who have never used their studio tools to actually produce anything that charts or has any significance in the music world.
The worst thing about Zen for me is that it seems that in order to seem new, they obfuscate the basic presets of the boxes we are all used to with names that make no sense. Countless hours trying to find basic presets that used to just WORK.
Zenbeats as much as they are hyping it will never be an MPC and you can get a free MPC right from Akai's website and it f**king kicks ass.
As far as the reverb/fx complaints go, jfc, just load up a lexicon for god's sake...its only 35 bucks and sounds better than Roland's old reverbs did anyways.
My only other comment in this post is that I think Roland should not be promoting drill rap as a genre since after looking into it I found out that it is about murdering police officers. Not cool Roland.
Peace out for now.

They shouldn't do any horror movie related promoting for their sounds either, because there was a film crew who produced a movie called "Children Of The Corn," which promoted children killing adults.N 4 LIFE wrote: Fri Oct 07, 2022 5:18 am

I was under the impression it was all make believe and entertainment for people to be entertained. Music, amovies hell both even start with the letter M. Both are considered art. Movies and music both promote violence. Oh wait so do video games...oh wait there's a whole video game that allows both kids and adults to kill cops as many times as they want.N 4 LIFE wrote: Sat Oct 08, 2022 4:50 am It seems to me that there is a big difference between fantasy films and promoting the active killing of live police officers in real time....

Doing nothing is only fun when you have something you are supposed to do.

Hi,
Has anyone experienced that the browser search in Zenology Pro make the plugin stop responding? I found this out several times today when I had a project using many instances and used the search a lot. I found a way for me to fairly consistently re-create the bug here, but I'm not sure if it only affects my DAW (Windows 11 + Cubase 12) or if it's just on my system.
Create a new empty project and add two tracks with Zenology Pro. It doesn't seem to happen with just one instance loaded. Then,
1 Open the first instance of Zenology Pro and open the Tone/Drum Kit Browser
2 Type "hello" (or something else that won't match anything) and press enter
3 Clear the text
4 Close the browser
Now do the same thing with the second instance. And repeat. For me, it takes a random number of times going back and forth like this (usually less than five) until suddenly pressing enter does nothing and the "Tone/Drum Kit Browser" window is impossible to close, forcing me to kill Cubase.
Would love to get some "yup same happens here" before I poke Roland about it

I regret buying the perpetual license for Zenology. Its interface is ghastly and it just sounds okay IMO. A very lackluster product from Roland.
I will take the Lord's name in vain, whenever I want. Hail Satan! And his little goblins too.

Yes, reverb fx would be great in ZenologyPro. Maybe not so easy to implement since it`s working on some hardware synths etc, but would be great to have it and also maybe some more effect slots in general.ReiKru wrote: Tue Jan 17, 2023 10:40 am ZenPro is great but i'am missing a Reverb and seperate Chorus like in XV5080 VST. So the Sounds in XV5080 and ZenPro sounds different.

Is it me or that the whole xv5080+srx soundset sounds a little flat compared to the equivalent "legendary" plugins?
Also, all those sdz sound packs are some of the worst soundpacks I've heard...roland should really stop creating those useless packs (there are more than 100 of them) and maybe work on having the supernatural acoustic engine of the integra-7, included in zenology. Right now most of the acoustic patches are very weak compared to integra7 (or other vsts such as kontakt).
Well, at least the rcm seems a little more stable than it was 1 year ago or so...

Yes they seems Flatter because they lack Reverb + FX Structure from the XV 5080 and SRX Plugins.Bippo wrote: Tue Jan 17, 2023 12:41 pm Is it me or that the whole xv5080+srx soundset sounds a little flat compared to the equivalent "legendary" plugins?
