Melda plugins finally looking good!

Is there a way to turn this stuff off and just use the default views? Kudos to them enhancing the tech, but I'm not interested in deciphering 100s of different, gaudy looking GUIs. One clean, boring interface is sufficient for me.

I'm selling almost all of mine because I just cant stand the interface - it seems everytime I open a melda plugin I have to learn another interface - eg just test v15 and thought I would modulate a parameter with an LFO - but there are no LFOs anymore that I can find even tho I am sure I have used them before. This seems a normal experience for me with Melda. I am sure if I used them each and every day I would figure out the various idiosyncracies but really I just couldnt be bothered. Hence almost all of mine are up for sale

you've picked one of the few with these knobs
I'm also fine with the others but agree these still look better.
I know Aleksey uses the others for more precise visual feedback, but since the numeric values are displayed underneath all the time anyway, these “new“ knobs are no step back regarding precise feedback as far as i'm concerned

I don't care at all about the looks of the GUI, I care way more about the ease of use and layout. I remember trying to do maybe it was a trance gate in one of the plugins, maybe wobblerMB or tremeloMB or something, and pulling my hair out trying to do this simple thing.

All true, but new knobs take up more space. I still don't mind the old interfaces either - they're crisp and sharp (retina ready) unlike many devs, resizable (consistently) and never get in the way. So i can't really fault UX for Voxengo.FapFilter wrote: Mon Oct 04, 2021 8:58 am you've picked one of the few with these knobs

I did suggest to Alexey at one point to make design switchable - to be able to use new knobs on all Voxengo plugins, but he wasn't too keen on it. Maybe if more people asked...

Me too, i actually think they look very professional in a Sonnox plugin way.Ploki wrote: Mon Oct 04, 2021 10:45 amAll true, but new knobs take up more space. Ok, I hear you. I've now spent some time with v15 and it occurred to me every plugin has a number of different interfaces (one for each easy screen). I agree many of them look a bit undesirable, especially the fake 3D of surrounding panels and the clash with the sidebar interfaces. However, I believe this can be deselected.chk071 wrote: Mon Oct 04, 2021 11:02 am Looks like none of the MFreeFx plugins have a new GUI. Thankfully, I must say, when I take a look at the video...
There is a nice almost a bit Diva/Lynx-like UI at 0.37 in the vid. Don't know what it belongs to, but it's stylish enough and I'd be happy to see it all over the Melda suite of plugins. Just a simple, flat UI like that, perhaps available in a few different colours, and the whole ugly-UI-debate would come to an end (since the UI would resemble other quality-VST UIs).

Looks very nice! Those knobs go very well with that background.
