I now remember why I hadn't bought it 10 years ago ,seems that it still has this anoying bug in the waveshaper , they didn't fix it at all
Just use your waveshaper curve and slightly move the middle point up or downwards ( in bipolar mode ) and dc offset on
When the input signal is stopped , single samples creep , this is because of a bug in the waveshaping method

Got Trash 2 free years ago, and bundled with free Iris 2 later,
and they STILL have the worst preset 'normalization' I've ever encountered.
They've made zero effort to fix this dangerous mess, after repeated requests. Even switching presets with the strings muted, can produce
a horrid blast

consider ignoring Trash 2. All that crazy distortion madness can be had in the well-controlled and properly supported products from companies that care about their customers.

Me. Heard of it but never knew what it was - I assumed it was distortion but for thrashing stuff out of recognition, so never got interested. Having just looked at the Trash vids - actually looks quite interesting. The convolution stuff, saturation etc - might have to give it a go. Though if it's so old...is the saturation any good? I'd imagine there's better nowadays. Still, it looks like way more than just a fuckthingsup pedal. TBH the actual name "Trash" is what always put me off in the past.

I wish they'd put more effort into naming things. Like Softube Saturation Knob. It's obviously a saturation plugin for knobs - I'm a knob, so I'll get it.

The convolution is really pretty good, but of course the IRs could be loaded into something else.

Some distortion settings on it REALLY need a noise gate in front of it though. Just very low-level noise from a quiet hardware synth is enough to make it blow up. That should have been built in IMHO.

I had it for quite some time. It has its uses but in combination with Studio One 4.6 and maybe something else it causes projects not to open.

Izotope admitted it's a known bug but they won't do anything about it.

Deinstalled and will never install again.

Anyone else noticed the subtle change from $25 voucher to 25% off voucher?

A 25% voucher is worthless if you can’t combine it with their regular 50% sales. Even a €25 voucher is hard to place on any order if most items are more than €50… Those which are lower than that I found not worth the €14 I would still have to pay… I never used a NI voucher for that reason…

Bought Soul-something from them for 24€ using the voucher last year or so. The worst library I own without a doubt.

Super8 for roughly as much when it came out. This oneI like a lot. It even got updated from Reaktor instrument to true vst.
