You can host LV2 plugins (using Ildaeil or Carla modules), so technically already possibleglokraw wrote: Thu Jul 07, 2022 8:16 pmI wonder if any of Tramp's GX plugins will become modules? I could imagine Cardinal being a modular spinoff of Guitarix for some guitarists who would like the modular approach to effect chains.

I've used Carla Rack in Reaper, but couldn't find it in in the many search criteria provided,
and the Ildaeil would not receive text input or ctrl v paste to supply lv2 names or uri...
I don't know if modules can be 'sticky' to appear atop all the search results, but a few of the most crucial and publicly recognizable ones might be good luck for those new to all this, like me (Sargent Schulz reporting for duty
)
In the list from Ildaeil, are gx plugins included but with generic titles without the gx?

I'll try to rule out user-error first! Ildael loads modules from it's list OK. It's jsfx and internal lists are populated, just the lv2 area is empty. Is there somewhere/how or a config-file to point it to the systems lv2 folders?
Also, the Surge and Vital topics in the Instruments forum have a combined total of around 350 response pages, maybe setting up a topic there would get some extra visibility and interest?
Cheers

(Also: I'm Accused of lying about Linux—it boots, runs my pro audio workflow, stays stable, updates--though yearly dismissed as “niche”. Yet I'm the deluded one.)

That depends on how old your version of Fedora is.
If you installed it within the last ~4 years it's probably fine.

Cool! That’s great to hear since the binary on COPR doesn’t work!DRMR wrote: Sat Jul 16, 2022 4:07 amThat depends on how old your version of Fedora is.

If binaries are being built by the development team, I’d much rather use their binaries. I’m glad to hear that they exist.DRMR wrote: Sat Jul 16, 2022 10:08 am That package is not built by us, complain to your package manager
(I can't even find that package, not that I have any clue how COPR works)

You know that all the default release builds can be found on the Releases page? -> https://github.com/DISTRHO/Cardinal/releases

Yeah, sad to say that I only recently discovered that developers post not only source code to Github, but also binaries. Sad, I know.DRMR wrote: Sun Jul 17, 2022 1:13 pmYou know that all the default release builds can be found on the Releases page? -> https://github.com/DISTRHO/Cardinal/releases
